The Pokémon Company has released a quirky new tool on its official Japanese website, allowing fans of the series to relive their favourite moments from the last couple of decades.
You can access the tool right here; the whole thing is in Japanese, but you'll just about be able to get by with the standard (if pretty poor) translation tool available within the Google Chrome browser. Fans are asked to select the regions they've discovered - so whether you started playing Pokémon way back in the old days with Red and Blue, or much more recently with Sun and Moon, you'll definitely be covered.
From there, it's a simple case of choosing highlights from each game such as your starter Pokémon, memorable battles, and memorable story scenes. Once you're done, a shareable video will be created which you can post to your social media platform of choice. You can also generate a standard URL for your video, so feel free to grab those and post them in our comment section below.
You'll notice that the end of the video also adds in a few scenes from the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield, which we're sure plenty of you will be tucking into next week. Can you believe the games are out in exactly a week's time?
As we mentioned before, make sure to share your videos with us below and tell us all about your favourite Pokémon memories.

It's not exactly building anything, it's just displaying one of multiple videos based on the limited number of choices you can make.
Only Pokemon game i've ever played was Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu. But i liked it enough that this NOOB has preordered Pokemon Sword.
A week!? A WEEK?! That's like, 9 days too many!
I actually took Friday off of work for Sword and Shield!
@Heavyarms55 Your pfp really makes me wish for a Pokémon Conquest 2 with Fire Emblem characters
Man I'm so excited to see a true mainline Pokémon adventure on a home console. Something I've wanted to see ever since I fell in love with Pokémon Silver back in the day. I have so many great memories with Pokémon over the years, especially back then during Pokémania haha.
Now I have to finish Luigi's Mansion 3 first before SwSh releases!
@CapricornDavid I'd buy that in a frakking nanosecond!
Guess I'll be the first to post a video. My first Pokemon game was White and my starter was Tepig. https://greatstory.pokemon.co.jp/shares/6YmGNoMR88Eg1hLdUrJ78qAq/index.html

Pokemon Red. Bulbasaur.
I've been playing since my birthday in 1998 when I got Pokemon Blue!
I liked it until the end when they started showing Sword/Shield directly with Gigantamaxing.
I'm not quite sure how my choices even affect the video, but it's all an attempt to get us to spread the SwSh ad at the end anyway.
Only ever played blue. Outgrew it by the time gold and silver came out, which my brother played.
The video did sort of want me to go back and check it out. Played through the game 3-4 times back in the 90s. Wish there was a NG+.
I always chose either Squirtle or Bulbasaur.
Tucking right I will
Started the Pokémon journey on Pokémon Yellow on the first game Boy. It was amazing my childood with my friends transfer Pokémon to evolve. After that i played almost all of tem except the 3ds games. I bought a switch after a long term without consoles, its amazing console and be abble to play a remaster from that times its something special, of course the game its not the same but its special anyway. I already pre order the sword version. About the rumores about Pokédex i dont care if it as all of pokémons. For me each game its a diferentes journey so lets see what to expect.
Great story bro.
The one memory I don't think they would ever be able to recreate is when I caught Mewtwo in FireRed with a standard Pokéball, after using up all my Ultra Balls and Great Balls (I wasted my Master Ball on a Pikachu; feel free to roast me). I couldn't even begin to tell you how fast I saved my game after that.
@CurryPowderKeg79 Congrats, you just wasted $60 on a game that had zero effort put into it.
Actually @QueenKittenWrite i rented it for $4.89 for 7 days. No effort or not it was well worth $4.89
red, bulbasaur, man, I really can't wait for shield
