The winter tour is currently underway in Nintendo's latest mobile release, Mario Kart Tour. Part of this update includes the arrival of the new racer, Pink Gold Peach.
This racer is part of the second phase of the update which is available from now until the end of the tour. Apart from Pink Gold Peach, you can also unlock the Wildfire Flyer kart and Royal Parachute glider.
As noted, her special item is the coin box, which will "share the wealth" with other racers out on the track. Other than this, part two comes with the Baby Mario Cup. This cup includes Cheep Cheep Lagoon R, Choco Island 2, and DK Pass T.
There are also new tour challenges and badges to earn, so be sure to join in on the fun before its too late.

Why on earth would I want to give CPUs more coins?
As much as I want it, the fact it's locked behind the unfair Gacha system which mostly gives duplicates is stupid.
This is the best mario character by far. We need an emotional story FPS based on her
yet.... i can play her in mario kart 8 deluxe for free without a random chance of unlocking her 🤔
@huyi you got Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for free? Wow!
Because face it... you DID pay for that game... you’re not playing or unlocking for “free”
They meant gold peach was free to unlock on mk8, with no extra cost.
@Woomy_NNYes I know what he meant... however he did pay $50 dlls to “unlock” her... among others.. whereas here you can either unlock her free through chance with no extra cost or if you really want her... pay up and skip waiting for her in the coin shop.
But he indeed paid an initial payment of $50 bucks and this game costs you $0.
It’s not a valid argument because it’s not a fair comparison
@fafonio
Yes, yes it is a valid argument, you just disagree with it.
Because with Mario Kart 8 you pay the retail price upfront and that's it.
There are no hidden costs.
With Mario Kart Tour and others that use this paywalling loot crate mode,l there is no telling how much money you wil sink in.
And even then it's random change.
Mario Kart 8, no hidden cost, single price up front.
Or mobile gaming Mario Kart with all the pitfalls and hidden costs and random luck.
Yeah, no, I know what i'd rather buy and its not a slot machine mechanics games.
Which are made to be as enticing and addictive as possible.
@huyi
Think i'll play Mario Kart 8 with Pink Gold Peach, unlocked right from the get go. With no extra hidden costs, or slot machine mechanics.
@KitsuneNight mhhh haven’t paid a cent for two months now... but I’ll call you back when I spend $50 bucks on it and we can argue again to see which game I sinked more time on and in which I unlocked more characters.
It all depends on which type of gamer you are. You want everything unlocked from the start? I’d rather work my way playing a game.
Also ... if you prefer playing a 4 year old game that you’ve probably played to death rather than a game with new content for $0.... well, your choice.
@fafonio Please tell me you don't believe the mobile Mario kart is a real mario kart game. The controls alone make it inferior and there's no pressure to put extra money into it.
You're basically choosing between a game that presses on the gas and basically steers for you and only drip feeds you content slowly...
Vs a game that gives you everything at the get go with a few things to unlock as you play. You still get a sense of accomplishment with MK8.
@Kalmaro mhhh let me see ... you’re making me choose between a game I played to death 4 years ago .... VS a free game with new content WHICH I can play perfectly with my drifting controls?
I’d totally say the free game with new content. MK8 is a thing of the past for me since I already played it since the WiiU.
So, I haven’t paid a dime, I’ve got new characters, new tracks, new powerups, new missions, and updates.... and a nice time sinker in short busts
I would rather say I would play both.... but why play the same game (MK8) over and over again when I can play something new for free....
It’s a tough decision /s
Also, why would I need to choose? You can play both games... it’s not as if a free game is going to take MK8 from you. If you already spent $50, nothing stops you from playing this FREE game.
@fafonio Who said anything about choosing? I just don't think that the mobile Mario kart is as good as 8.
I'm glad you bought 8 and liked it. I just don't see how one can go from that to the mobile game with reduced controls. If you like it though then that's great for you.
@Kalmaro “ You're basically choosing between a game that presses on the gas and basically steers for you and only drip feeds you content slowly...
Vs ....”
You’re making me choose. When I Can perfectly play both. It’s what you guys don’t see.
What I’m saying is... if you’re new to MK8 well, that’s good for you.
But for us who bought the game on WiiU... MK WT is AT LEAST a new experience. I’d rather play that than the same old MK8 game.
When MK9 releases, you’ll be damn sure I WILL stop playing Mario Kart World Tour.
In the meantime it’s not a thing of “I’d rather play in x or y” when you can play on both.
If Mario Kart World Tour had an initial payment with micro transactions then I would agree.... but it’s perfectly playable 100% free.
@kalmaro, about a month or two I totally agreed with you. But now I'm firmly in the camp of @fafonio.
This is a different experience that's totally payable, and more importantly beatable, with what I got till now. I've got a nice set of characters, karts and gliders, 3000 coins and like 130 rubees without paying a dime. Or using the free two week subscription crap.
The drifting and combo mechanic is tons of fun, it's a really different way of playing. Going for that next multiplier, not necessarily first place. Bonus of that is: I don't fail when I get blown to bits at the last moment (Which happens far less frequently than in other MK games.)
This game is pretty great, free, fun! As long as you keep the expectations a bit lower.
(Bonus for continuily redesigning the tracks so it keeps feeling fresh!)
Finally! Pink Gold Peach for the win
Can't say I still play it, but I did play it daily the first weeks until the novelty was lost quickly.
Peach Peach Lagoon is a fun mobile game.
@TheAwesomeBowser Actually at some point in the game it's really useful to get duplicates as you need them to level up your karts, gliders and characters. But yeah, with those getting more and more numerous by every update, getting the duplicates you're looking for is based on luck and that sucks.
@garfreek @fafonio No one is saying you guys can't play both.
I'm just don't see the mobile Mario kart as the same as 8. I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't play it. I do think that they aren't comparable.
By all means, if you like it, play it.
That character model just looks creepy without pupils in the eyes. She either looks like she’s got her eyes closed or she’s some white-eyed zombie.
@fafonio totally agree with all the points you make. Haven’t spent any money on the game and it’s been fun. Loads of tracks.
I’ve put in over500 hours on Mario kart 8 and another 25 hours on Mario kart 8 deluxe. I rather play Mario kart tour. The ranked cups are getting challenging for a free to play player but I love the challenge.
I unlocked vacation peach last week which means I’m rich in coins
@Kalmaro you're right in this too, it's different than a normal MK, and I REALLY want a MK9. That's probably the two factors that keep me playing.
(And if this game is anything, it's clearly reusing all the MK7 assets..)
@garfreek Where IS MK9 anyway? You'd think they'd have said something by now... 🤔
@Hagemaru I don't think it was designed very well at all, too be honest. There's better racing games on mobile. The main thin g you're getting here is the brand name.
Though if you're enjoying that then I'm Hatoyama for you, no one is saying you shouldn't have fun, I'm just suprise you are.
Droped the game pretty fast, too much pay to get the good things, tot.me At least.
Whould have rather seen that the game whould have been 30€ and then done with it.
But I can understand Nintendo's point of view its easy money
@Hagemaru I have it time and did not like either control scheme. The one that makes drifting better helps but then steering was a bit harder.
Then I learned I was playing against bits and it's score based and just dropped out. It's not for me, I guess.
This game could be a lot more of they would let it. Instead, it's a cash grab with stone pretty predatory money schemes.
Tour is great but if you haven’t played mk8 then play that. I feel as if i played mk8 for a decade now. Gimme mk9
Ah, yes, when "new" racers became solid color variants
Pay a fortune to unlock her or pay loads of gems to tug the pipe for luck.
...you guys really have no idea how this game works, do you?
@Hagemaru I did play heroes, then realized it has stamina. Stamina is a horrible idea in any game as far as I'm concerned. I don't like being told when I can play a game.
They also started blocking rooted phones after a while and the gacha mechanics are annoying.
Gameplay-wise, the game was fine.
I'm willing to bet that the only reason anyone plays the game that long is because they withold content from you and, instead, dripfeed it to you.
I think Splatoon does it best, giving you a full game and then slowly unlocking weapons and maps and patching the game so you have a reason to keep coming back.
Still, there's no denying that if you want a Fire emblem-lite that fire emblem heroes does well.
I play this every day.
All the other Nintendo mobile games are terrible in my opinion, but Mario Kart Tour is excellent.
Pink Gold Peach is one of the laziest characters ever. Who wants to play as all these clone characters? I’d let them off if they were alternative skins, but to pass them off as new characters is a bit much. If I’m playing as Mario I don’t want to be racing against Metal Mario and Baby Mario.
Would people honestly rather play as Palette Swap Peach than E. Gadd for instance?
