Trademark Discovery Suggests Klonoa, Mr. Driller And Splatterhouse Might Be Making A Comeback

Klonoa! I hope it is a remake/remaster/whatever of the first game, I never got to play that one before!

I don't want to be that person, but...oh who am I kidding, I am that kind of person. Has to be to draw hype in for a Smash reveal. 😏

I honestly wouldn't mind Klonoa getting a second chance. Never had the chance to play any of the games, but always wanted to. This reminds me, I still have the GBA games on my Wii U's eShop wishlist.

I would love to see Klonoa come back. A new game or an HD remaster would be nice.

I hope they remaster the Wii version for Switch then remake the second one after that and then make a third one.

I have a feeling we won't be seeing any new Klonoa games anytime soon, but at the very least, I would like to see the old ones remastered and put in Nintendo Switch. I never got the chance to 0lay these, except at demo kiosks at my dad's old work.

For the right price I wouldn't mind trying it.

It's really nice Bandai Namco is going out of their way to rejuvenate franchises like SoulCalibur, Tales and now Klonoa.

I know someone personally who would probably cry his heart out if this amounted to a new game being announced or if Klonoa joined Smash Ultimate's DLC lineup

I'd love a Klonoa 2 remaster. One of the best 2D (2.5D) platformers I ever played.

Never played any games with this character. I only even vaguely recognize him.

Always loved these games, they have a really nice aesthetic, the one on Wii is a total classic if you get the chance to play it.

Also, if they do klonoa can they maybe do Tomba?

I ran over a skunk on the way home from work today so of course there's a new Klonoa on the way.

HD Remaster of 1 (the wii version) and 2 would be amazing.
A new entry would be more than welcome as well.

Klonoa is my favourite videogame character ever ( well a tie with MegaMan Zero). And what with Grandia being my favourite game ever and Final Fantasy 8 being my favourite FF game, this is getting freaky. Seeing as the gods are looking down on me can I plese have:

I’ve only recently got into Klonoa, and boy do I wish I’d played it sooner. Got myself the PS1 version last year (the affordable Jap version of course) and had a blast playing it. The level design, game mechanics and music/atmosphere are great. I’ve got the PS2 and GBA games ready to play too.

I hope they do some form of revival for current consoles, and don’t stray too far from what made the originals so good.

Anything Klonoa-related will have my immediate interest. If it's remaster territory, hopefully Namco will include Klonoa 1 and 2 in a bundle. And hopefully people will buy it this time around. I bought the Wii Klonoa remake on Day 1, and I didn't regret it for a second. I would definitely buy it again on Day 1 for the Switch.

A Splatterhouse comeback would be great...as long as it doesn't end up the like the first time they try to reboot it.

@Sakura7 Bless you for mentioning the Otogi duo. It kills me that Sega and FromSoftware are just abandoning those on the Xbox.

I'd love Klonoa, Klonoa 2, and/or whatever new game they might make. Also, why hasn't Namco ported Ridge Racers (PSP) to Switch?! It has tons of tracks, cars, songs, etc and could easily run at 60fps at a high resolution on Switch. It would crush most racers on Switch. Mr Driller, Gunpey, and Splatter house are good too, but some version of Ridge Racer seems like a no brainer.

Also past time for Bandai Namco to add DLC to the Namco Museum. Too many games are still missing.

I’d definitely be up for more Mr Driller, I’ve been playing the original loads on the Dreamcast lately.
