Update: The first trailer for the system has now arrived, giving us our first look at its packaging and showing off some of the games you'll be able to play.

Original Article: If you've been following our stories on the upcoming Evercade handheld system, you'll likely know that it's set to feature a whole host of retro classics from a number of big-name publishers. Today, it has also been confirmed that new retro-inspired titles will make their way to the platform.

Previously, we've been told about the console's Atari Collection 1 cartridge, Interplay Collection 1 and Data Play Collection 1, the Namco Museum Collection 1, Interplay Collection 2, and Atari Collection 2, and most recently the Namco Museum Collection 2 cart. Phew. These cartridges will give Evercade owners the chance to play almost 100 classic games on the go, and that library is set to grow.

In a press release today, the team has announced support for new retro-inspired games and have confirmed that they are "already in discussions with several indie publishers" to bring their games to the console. It looks like this could be yet another perfect handheld destination for retro fans.
