Towards the end of last year, PM Studios revealed OPUS Collection: The Day We Found Earth + Rocket of Whispers would arrive in physical form on the Switch.
It's now been confirmed the two-in-one collection will be released in North America on 28th May. This is reportedly a slight delay. The game was due out this month but has now been pushed back to next month.
If this is the first time you've heard about these emotional and heartwarming adventure puzzle games before, here's a description, directly from the PR:
"In OPUS: The Day We Found Earth you’ll work together with Emeth to search for the long-lost planet known as “Earth”, while in OPUS: Rocket of Whispers you will attempt to return a planet’s lost souls to the cosmos where they belong."
Each copy of the initial printing will also include a bonus soundtrack voucher code, featuring 36 tracks. Pricing for the game has not been revealed.
OPUS: The Day We Found Earth
Nintendo Life review: 8/10
"OPUS: The Day We Found Earth is a lovely little game. At more or less the length of a movie, it’s not going to keep you entertained for the weekend, but it’s perfect for a quiet night in. Digital stargazing is a surprisingly compelling pursuit, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with OPUS - it’s charming, affecting and proof positive that the Switch can be a wonderful storyteller."
OPUS: Rocket of Whispers
Nintendo Life review: 8/10
"An emotional experience that’s as much about loneliness and letting go as it is about rockets, OPUS: Rocket of Whispers captivates from start to finish. It’s darker and bleaker than its predecessor, and scavenging for rocket parts isn’t as immediately appealing as stargazing, but it’s still every bit the affecting combination of narrative and gameplay that defined The Day We Found Earth."

How about Europe?
I opted to pick them up digitally despite knowing that a physical collection was coming as they went on sale super cheap. Short games but also really cool. Enjoyed them both.
I really really like both of these games and highly recommend them!
But they are really really short! You can beat both of them easily in one sitting each.
Great stories, like a really solid movie. But only a bit longer than a movie for each. The most I would pay for a collection is 20 bucks, and even that is twice what you would pay, buying them both, individually, digitally.
@Heavyarms55 I played the first one and agree with you: while short, the story is so good, it compels you to finish the game. Your heart goes out to that little robot. Also, the game dynamic of finding the right planet is different than any game play I can think of.
The second game is on my wish list. oh backlog!
I bought and played the first one before the physical copy of both was announced, so I will GameFly this collection to play the second game. Definitely could feel the wanderlust and despair of the first game. I look at it as a short story-- A snack sized game you play between meatier games. If you like visual novels, poignant games, or good narratives then I recommend the first one for sure.
I will wait for a sale to buy this game collection.
@IceEarthGuard you'll be waiting a long time. They don't go on sale that early when it still a new game.
@SwitchForce I know, but who knows it might go on a cheaper price somewhere quick.
