Well personally My Hero Aca & Let's Go are on my list.. and if I manage to get a new job, then Disgaea is popping on there too. Not too sure I'd let Nyko even that close to my dock.
It still missing One game.
Where Is World of Final Fantasy MAXIMA ?!
I heard it will be released on 6th November 2018.
Wait, Mega Man 11 is out TOMORROW? I thought it was the 12th!
Go figure, guess I'm playing it tomorrow now!
I'm going to buy Super Mario Party for sure somewhere in December. I'm still doubting about Starlink though.. and if I'm going to buy it, which platform?
It's been a rough year for the Switch, and it looks like close out is going to be brutal. With so many huge games hitting the XO and PS4 over the next few months it really shows how lacking Nintendo's line-up is.
The ball has been dropped.
I like the look of Star'fox': Battle for Atlas.
Starlink, Darksouls, and Pokemon are on my hit list. If pokemon stinks I will buy the first Southpark. I am still in the Xenoblade rabbit hole so it does not matter.
2018 has been full of great games so far.
Looks like my big October games are Mega Man 11, Mark of the Ninja Remastered, and Luigi's Mansion 3DS!
My Riding Stables: Life With Horses. THE HYPE IS REAL
Seriously though how do they make money on those games.
@Saego If you want the Star Fox stuff that's only on Switch.
Damn that's a lot of games for me. Got Megaman 11, Dark Souls, Starlink, and Diablo 3 on that list. I still haven't even started Octopath either so who knows when I'll get to this.
V rally?
The Nyko arcade kit will find a way to brick your switch. lol. Looks cool though
@NewAdvent Yeah I feel like Ubisoft would do themselves a favor by delaying Starlink 3 or so weeks.
You forgot Taiko no Tatusjin for Switch in November or do you only count american retail?
Article is missing Civ VI.
The World Ends with You and Disgaea 1 complete for me this month. Pokemon Let's Go and Civilization 6 next month.
Super Mario Party and Starlink are both maybes. I know I'd like Mario Party, but the question of actually having someone to play it with is the issue.
@NintendoFan4Lyf I feel your pain. I cringed when I realized I'm only halfway through Octopath Traveler, and I'm ready for some MM11 and test drive StarLink. Torna is not even a thing for me right now "yet" (sigh), and I'm about to now receive... MHGU. There goes MORE of the time I don't have lol. Whelp, guess it's time to bump GameFly up to 3 games out at a time
Would have liked to pick up a physical copy of Mega Man 11 for my Switch, but for some reason Capcom decided not to release that in Europe. Might download it but on the other hand there IS a physical release of it for PS4..
Do hunting games always release during hunting season? I know it's boar hunting season in my country. At least that would explain why my gf's dad entered the house late at night with a boar's heart in a bag...
Where's the first party Nintendo games? As stated above Nintendo really have dropped the ball. Every time they get in a good position they don't capitalize on it. I made the right decision selling my Switch, my Wii U will do me fine for now. Only game I'm missing out on is Odyssey. Get Fire Emblem, Metroid, Pikmin 4 and many more out fast!!!
Will buy mario party the first day it comes out, Starlink if it is comparable to Lylat wars. Dark souls not sure, there is so muche hype about it for being such an old game which makes it veeeeery interesting, also i have never played it or even saw a gameplay video about it.
From this link only Mega Man and Monster Boy appeal to me. I'm getting MM tomorrow and Monster Boy eventually, god knows when...
What a disposable line-up. I know some people don't like it when someone criticizes the Switch's line-up, but really i you have any other console, the Switch becomes a bit redundant.
I'll probably snag Mario Party, not sure about anything else. Starlink looks fun but I'd like to read some reviews first.
The Zelda content makes Diablo 3 very tempting, but I already have it on Xbox. Might get it when its cheaper, especially if they add more than just Ganondorf...
@sandman89 I am so hanging for V-Rally, that will launch soon on the other consoles but it will come "later" for switch.
Spintires might have to tide me over, providing the switch's CPU is actually up to it.
Meh... most my cash going to PS4/PC again in October.
After Valky4 nothing for me on the Swicth till The Caligula Effect: Overdose in Feb 2019 🙄
They trying real hard to convince people that a DLC skin makes StarLink a "New StarFox" game 😅🙃
Megaman 11 is for me. Starlink is also a thing I want to try and finally I'll give Dark Souls another whack.
Mega Man 11 is most appealing to me. The demo was awesome.
I plan on buying Mega Man 11, Super Mario Party, and probably Starlink this month.
Nintendolife forgot this game.
Nothing for me, it's all about backlog until Smash.
Is buying Starlink even going to be worth it for Xbox/PS4 players since it’ll be including less content?? I’ve only seen the game advertised with the Fox stuff.
...Wait, $60 for TWEWY:FR?
@ramu-chan
I agree 2018 Nintendo has lost momentum
I have interest in Starlink, but not at that pricetag. I can see the figures being on CEX shelves before Christmas. I will consider once I work out the cost of the DLC when bought digitally.
Syberia 3 and Town of Light are also out soon for Switch. Cheaper on PS4, though. Asterix and Obelix XXL2 and Toki Retrocollector too. Might be a bit niche. Bite me.
@Tyranexx https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/the-world-ends-with-you-final-remix-switch
Dark Souls remastered and Pokémon for me
Diablo 3 is a first day for me. Back at PS3 I had no money. Now, I’m working, but that leaves me with no time to play. Wish I could transfer some to young me
November is when I buy Valkyria Chronicles 4. I like what I played from the demo.
Oh I'm not excited about the $60 price for tag for TWEWY. Now way I'm paying that for an extra chapter basically.
@NintendoFan4Lyf I just got Torna and Valkyria Chronicles 4, and I'm halfway through Okami HD. Not to mention the Mega Man collections I purchased recently. I'm dangerously close to forming a backlog on the Switch, which is something I won't abide, so I think I'll be backing off the purchases for a few months.
@Adrevenue I know, but I want to know how the game hold on against PC.
Where is the Mario Party/Joy-Con Bundle for NA??????????
"Minecraft Story Mode Season 2"
I'd really hold off on that one if I were anybody interested.
First, make sure it's all on the cart - I know it's an old port, what isn't?
Second, wait for a sale, it will be $10 soon enough.
Or ya, know, just watch the whole thing on YT like everyone else.
Day one:
Starlink
Diablo 3
My Hero Academia
The World Ends with You
PokeGimmicks
Civ VI (left off this list!)
I also want to get Lego DC, Warriors Orochi, and any FF games
@Anti-Matter A picture and embedded video both in one tweet, well done. I'm digging (that's a good) the new avatar as well, it suits you.
That nyko pixelquest looks sweet
It is always funny when the games people want are not coming right away, then Nintendo has dropped the ball. For what? Because they can't have the games people want fast enough? There are still so many games coming out before the fiscal year is over. December 2018 is not the end of the year for the switch. There are still five months left.
@NintendoFan4Lyf Interesting. Yeah, my scheme is usually to play 2 games at a time, and especially when I'm playing an RPG, I try to go hard on the RPG and play the other game as a change of pace-- Usually something of the faster, action based variety. Now, MHGU has the action, but it's being an online game so it never "ends", which means I will have to ration my time and will need to pursue another change of pace game that I can beat in short order, like MM11. I have such a love hate relationship with RPGs because I just don't have the time to crush them like I used to (2 weeks tops used to be how long they took me back in the day). It'll be fine though. OT is interesting in it's pacing, so I should have it beaten before month's end. I'm not too worried once I finally do get to Torna and Ys VIII, which should be November. I can clear out the MM11's and various other shorter game length games by then.
Until a new games is announced and hits my back log... >_<
Shame the Hori Dpad joycons have only come with ugly weird markings all over them in the west. I'd been holding off importing one but looks like thats my only option if I want a nice plain blue one.
Man looking at this and feeling broke at the same time makes me feel too excited.
@ramu-chan Yes definitely lost the momentum this year after a great 8 months from launch. Theres nothing for me to really look at for Switch games this year. Smash and Pokemon aren't for me. Starlink i have a passing interest in but i'm not paying £65 for the privilege. I prefer physical too before anyone suggests the eshop. May just pick up Dark Souls
So you included all the shovelware titles but didn't include World of Final Fantasy Maxima or Civilization VI?
Come on now
@Wesjedker: Definitely better! Thanks!
@NewAdvent
And PS4.
Boring month outside MegaMan 11 and Mario Party. The good stuff is about to come in November and DeSmashcember though.
Psyvariar opens a link for the ps2 version definitely not for the switch
Plenty of games but seem to be lacking slightly in quality. When is the Sonic Racing game due to release? I actually have that preordered, but it still just has a placeholder date of 31/12/18. Starlink looks interesting apart from the toys to life aspect.
@Agramonte Personally my feeling with Starlink is that it was really designed as a StarFox game they had no rights to make so they skinned it as some new IP, then used the good faith of the Rabbids project to get the actual StarFox IP they really made the game to be to begin with. Everything about it screams "this is a Ubisoft starfox clone fan project" only they got lucky and got the actual rights.
Still, tons of good stuff coming up. Portable Civ, D3, MM11, Souls, are all kind of must haves to me! And I never played TWEWY....I'm uncertain about the control schemes but I've heard so much good about it, and I'm a sucker for a Squeenix RPG. Plus WoFF...which I already bought on PS4 but would gladly rebuy on Switch.
@Anti-Matter I heard that too but yet everywhere I look it's nowhere to be found. I'm not sure if it will be delayed or if it's just slow getting orders out.
@NEStalgia This would mean everyone would have to concede they have access to StarFox. The PS4 game is the exact same game minus a skin and a DLC mission.
I had to cancel my pre order of MM11 as DQXI and Torna are eating all my time. I spent lots of cash on games this month (DQXI, FIFA, Torna, Valky4) so Only buying 1 game in OCT, and that is RD2. Should keep me busy for NoV. DEC hoping to get TR on sale.
If never played Souls, I would get it on Switch without a doubt. But not something I want to plqy (and suffer in) again.
I am more of a HomeWorld player than Civ. Would love something like Stellaris on Switch.
This reminded me of a few games! @_@ the end of the year is going to be strong on the switch. I'm happy and content. Curious how those hori D-pad joy con will work. I do like me some D pad.
@Agramonte True, and everyone has access to Smash with Brawlout, but it's not quite the same It sounds (so far) like it's more than just a DLC mission though but a long-ish mission (set?) and of course the ship features and such that affect gameplay through the game.
Hah, yeah this is a painful month. MM11, Souls, Torna, Soul Calibur 6, RDR2, AC: Odyssey. Then next month...Civ6, Diablo 3, Pikachu, Smash (I'll call it November) World of FF Switch....I hate how this industry toploads everything all at once....it's like "ok, so you want me to have to prioritize what I buy rather than tempting me to get all of it? Ok, then..."
Civ is just unique.... Homeworld is an RTS...Civ is the last of the dying breed of pure strategy games. I draw the line at MoO though...if I want to play a spreadsheet I'll read an inventory report or something.
Hmm just realized The world ends with you is $60. Ehhh. The OG game was on DS and did not cost that much. Even with the extra content I don't think it will sell well at that price point. Expect a price drop. This is a prime candidate for going %50 off on black friday.
@NEStalgia Ah, Masters of Orion... Now that's some timesink reading there.
I have the physical versions of Super Mario Party and Let's Go Evee pre-ordered. I might consider Starlink if I can get it without all the 'toys' or if there is enough to play without the 'toys'. I'm pretty undecided on Diablo. I haven't played a Diablo since the second one and that was a long time ago on a Mac far far away.
I gave up on Mega Man 11 after I played the demo. I don't think I like Mega Man. I also gave up waiting on Dark Souls. I think if it had come out in the summer, then I would have purchased it.
@HobbitGamer That's an understatement! It's like Tax Form: The Game.
@NEStalgia Ok, that one definitely made me chuckle.
On topic; There's so many games gearing up! Since I can't grab Starlink this month because of that infernal yet trusty pickup truck, I'm taking now through November 16 to push through my backlog.
So many games! So little money! Spent the last of it on nso, so I guess all these have to wait till christmas
@NEStalgia @HobbitGamer
"Tax Form: The Game"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@baller98 yeah that’s what I’m leaning on, especially since it’s sort of a toy and not your typical game.
WHELP, NINTENDO TILL DECEMBER!!
Super Mario Party for me this month. Can't wait to pick that up Friday. I might also pick up Forza Horizon 4 but I have a lot of other games to play single-player wise, so I may wait.
For certain getting Starlink, TWEWY and Yomawari. Trying not to fall into the shopping pit that is my b-day month. Lots of stuff going on the wishlist/holiday list. (resisting AC odyssey as is...)
So many games, so little time. Still playing Spider-Man, got Red Dead on pre-order & I’m adding Mega Man & Lego HP to my Switch library. Gonna have to take a vacation day...
While my enthusiasm for switch has cooled off recently, I have to admit there are some interesting new releases here. Dark souls, Diablo 3, Lego hp, amutant league, and Disgaia 1 all have my eye.
I need to try the MM11 demo with my 8bitdo controller because it was stupidly hard with joycons. I actually felt a lot better after I saw the game slaughter Caleb Hart since he’s held world records for Mega Man speed runs.
Really I want a new X game more than anything. But like a SNES X game. Been playing X legacy and the SNES games are so much better than the PS ones.
I’m still a little burned on Star Fox from Zero plus the toys to life physical version is 100 bucks in Canada! So I’m gonna wait until I see more reviews and I’m gonna hope the download version goes on sale.
I’ve heard great things about World Ends with you, but if it’s a full priced game I’m not sure I shouldn’t just buy it on iOS.
I find it weird that people are saying the Switch line up is light! There are so many good games I’m not buying because I know I won’t have time to play them! I guess if you game every night maybe there’s not enough or if you’re a junior high kid with mom’s visa. Other than that I can’t figure out who needs more games than what’s coming.
@exopiscea Its optional you can buy those toy things digital, thats why I'm debating if i should get it for switch or my xbox one x but i might just wait for reviews to make my decision.
I want too many of them
@Hen1roc
You only get the Star Fox stuff on Switch. I feel like that should be your decision right there.
@DavidMac i know but i play my xbox more so if it gets good reviews I'm going to rent for switch and then make my decision
@baller98 that's a bit better then.
Maybe i missed it but i didn't see CIV 6 on here... Thats due to drop on NOV 16th
@exopiscea Yes the toys are optional. I think they kind of started to realize as development finished that if they tied it to the toys and locked things behind them then it would be DOA>
For me, the Nintendo Switch was not a a gpod investment. Yes it is portable but so what. Nintendo can claim all it is a hpme console and a portable console but it isn't. I bough it day one. now all it does is sit and collect dust. I have cancelled all my preorders. I csn no longer invest in a system or a company that has lpst my complete interest. Nintendo has never been about power and graphics which i can respect that. But tha strategy won't work forever. I dont play online period. Non of my friends own a switch. As much as i want to buy it super smash bros would also be a worthless investment. I have cancelled all my.pre orders for the nintendo switch.
@evilcarebear03
I get the feeling none of your friends have switchs because maybe you don’t have friends? Also if you bought it for day one you bought it for Breath of the Wild. If you didn’t then why the hell did you buy it day one? There is a huge variety on the console, I call bs. You’re just a troll.
Well first of i am not a troll. secondly two friends have them. My point was that it is rarely played by any of us. No actually it wasnt for breath of the wild. Which i can say i was not a fan of. I bought it be cause i have every nintendo console minus handhelds ( Nes, Snes, N64, Wii, Wii U, switch and the Nes and Snes Classic. Yeah variety of stupid ass Indie games clogging up the eshop. Ports of old games that have been out for years don't count.
SuperMario Odyssey was fun. Mario rabbids kingdom battle was interesting for a bit. I also purchased xenoblade chronicles 2 I am setsuna, lost sphear and project octopath traveler. this heavily dependent online crap to the point where i have to pay to have cloud saves is total pmefpmeprfmo. I dont play online never was a fan. So what if the online service allows me to play Nes games on the switch. The ones I would play i own outside the switch so who the hell cares. Virtual console was a smart decision. The decision to do away with virtual console was stupid, I would rather own it outright vs paying a monthly or yearly fee to play it. I dont play online on playstation or xbox consoles either.
