Polygon-e Studios has revealed that CricktoGame is headed to Nintendo Switch next month, bringing a colourful dose of puzzling action to a console near you.
The game has you moving pieces around a board with coloured backgrounds - you need to match up all of the pieces with a background panel of the same colour. The pieces can only be moved along the specifically drawn out paths, however, so planning each move in advance could well be key. It reminds us of those little plastic sliding puzzles which were equally addictive and infuriating in equal measure.
The studio has also released a second video to show off its fancy Joy-Con background feature. As you can see, you can change the look of the game's background by slotting in Joy-Con controllers of different colours.
The game will arrive on Switch on 3rd November, although extra details such as pricing are still to be confirmed. We do know that the game will support all of the usual Switch gameplay modes, however, with the touchscreen and standard controllers all available to use across handheld, tabletop, and docked options.
Are you a fan of puzzle games? Does this look like it might be the perfect way for you to pass the time? Let us know your thoughts with a comment.

Game looks fun I prefer these games on the phone. Hopefully a timed exclusive and not a Nintendo switch exclusive
I'm all for puzzle games. Believe it or not they peak my interest more than any other genre. I can see myself geeking out on this...and that's a good thing.
Damm, this puzzle game looks hard.. and thats nice
Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, all is forgiven.
The Joy-Con feature is cool though. I wonder what the colours will be for non-programmed designs (grey?) and if they have anything in store for the Pikachu/Eevee/Smash Joy-Con.
@Silly_G They would get the colors from the OS, which gets them from the JoyCon themselves, and you can overwrite the color the JoyCon reports (same for pro controllers).
@Jaxad0127 : Do you have a source to verify that, because that would be very interesting. It would explain why 1-2 Switch recognises Joy-Con colours without a software update, however, considering the more complex designs of the Pro Controllers, I don't think it would be as simple as merely changing the colour (unless the controllers contain some information that transmits its design to the console itself).
@Silly_G Here is a tool to do it for both: https://hackinformer.com/2017/07/25/nintendo-switch-change-controller-icons-color-joy-con-toolkit/
@1UP_MARIO
A version of this game is already on iOS.
It gets quite hard quite quickly.
@mike_intv thanks. I check it out
@Jaxad0127 : Interesting stuff. Cheers.
