Publisher 505 Games - a subsidiary of the Italian company Digital Bros. - is reportedly expanding its horizons by opening a new branch in Toyko. According to Japanese publication Famitsu, this office will also cover South Korea.

The new office is said to specifically focus on intellectual property management and licensing. Digital Bros. also intends to create a network with stakeholders within the Japanese game industry, and reinforce relations with existing partners. The CEO of Digital Bros. said an office in Tokyo reinforced the fact that the company was globally recognised, and would ensure high-quality content was created for the region.

505 Games was founded in Milan in 2006 and has since expanded to the UK, US, France, Germany, Spain and more recently China in 2015. The publisher is previously known for games like Terraria and series such as Cooking Mama. It has previously published games on the DS, 3DS, Wii and Wii U.
