The Japanese Direct was slightly different to the western broadcast. During one part of the presentation, there was a segment for upcoming indie releases on the Switch.
Nidhogg 2 by Messhof is scheduled for fall this year, as is Downwell by Devolver Digital. Tangledeep from Impact Gameworks is also arriving then. Muse Dash from X.D. Network Inc. is out in winter and ibb & obb by Sparpweed is currently planned for a 2018 release. Again, all of these announcements were for Japan, with the majority of titles previously revealed for the Switch.
Take a look at the brief trailer announcement above and tell us in the comments if you would like to play any of these games on your Switch.

I'm so happy with Downwell, I hope it will play fine with the upcoming flipgrip as I loved playing it vertically on the vita.
But yeah. Nice collection of games you've got on Switch, Devolver. Yes. No one's missing now. Not a critically acclaimed series about phones and Miami, nope. No. (please)
I love indies
These are some cool ones!
@neufel Downwell is really one of the finest pieces of gamedesign I've seen in recent years. It adds a small twist to a tried and true formula, but it's such a gamechanger. It's really neat, just a very pure and unadulterated experience. I'm not big on the genre as such, but I thought the game was brilliant. Definitely going to triple-dip on this one. Game is perfect for the Switch and Tate-mode. This should have really been in the western direct as well.
Also, Tangledeep looks excellent. Never heard of it before, but I am definitely interested. It's apparently already on Steam (not sure how I could have missed that, as it seems right down my alley, but oh well ^^), with good reviews overall. Seems almost like an instant buy to me as well. Again, this should have been part of the western Direct. Much more exciting - granted that may be just me - than 20 year old NES games or yet another Yoshi.
Kinda brightens my mood on the whole Direct.
That artstyle for Nidhogg 2 is just awful.
Ibb & Obb is so perfect for Switch !
Very nice that I can finally play Downwell with pshycial button input! I played it for a while on ios and remember liking the game but also thinking "I'd much rather be playing this on my 3DS"
I like the look of Nidhogg, Muse Dash, and Ibb and Obb.
And people seem to be talking up Downwell so I'll have to try that on sale some time.
I can’t recommend Downwell enough, folks. For those unaware, you’re in for a real treat with this one! Nidhogg 2 is another must have for couch co-op fans.
I guess I'll be dubble dipping with Nidhogg 2. This game is amazing if u have a couch co-op buddy.
@SBandy I thought so too, but having played it for more than an hour I think it's masterful! The backdrops are gorgeous! I'm still not a fan of the puppets but it's cool u can customize their look.
Some more good looking games there. On top of the Direct and the stuff that slipped out while the Direct was delayed, it’s been some week.
Switch and indies is the best combination!!
Nice to see Downwell! A popular tate game like that will draw more attention towards the Flip Grip, which in turn will draw attention to the Switch as the perfect console for vertical shmups.
Tate is great!
@slatanek
OK I will maybe check it out as the gameplay does looks fun and I may warm up to the artstyle!
I wish it was Nidhogg 1, I'd double-dip on that tight masterpiece but I just can't get over how disgusting the art style is on the sequel (in screenshots)
@SBandy It looks bizzare but once you play it makes total sense. Will be picking it up for lunch time fun.
