Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Scalding Scaffold Sinkhole Gems, Extra Challenge, And Pixel Toad Locations
Scalding Scaffold Sinkhole - First Gem
Run! Get up the ladder, then up the ramp on your right and follow this platform round. You'll soon see the first gem. Grab it quick.
Scalding Scaffold Sinkhole - Second Gem
Get to the section near the end of the level where you have to run up the ramp with three moles on it, then backtrack and fall off the platform behind you. You should see the second gem while viewing the platform from above. Grab it and you're done.
Scalding Scaffold Sinkhole - Third Gem
Now backtrack to the three moles and pull up the flower up and to the left of them.
Scalding Scaffold Sinkhole - Extra Challenge: Collect 200 Coins
This challenge is pretty tough, but doable. Focus purely on gathering visible coins and coin piles and ignore all of the moles and flowers – except the one that gives you a mushroom on your way to the top. There are 20 coins in flowers just next to the exit star, so aim for 180 minimum before climbing the big ladder. There's well over that below, so plenty of margin for error.
Scalding Scaffold Sinkhole - Pixel Toad
Just as you approach the ramp to the exit of the level, grab the coins on a small platform near the lone mole to find Pixel Toad beneath.
To make this guide easier to navigate, we've broken each level up into pages. So to zoom quickly to the level you're looking for, simply head to the page number that matches the level number.

For those of you having trouble getting the pixel toad in this level, there is an easier way to do it than whats stated here. If you go to the "side area" it will spit you out right before this area in non-running mode and you can just snipe this little f*cker from where you land.
@Sin_Shadow_Fox Agreed. Or you can just run around the little loop (where the pixel toad is) twice and you’ll run out of speed boost and come to a stop. Anti-clockwise works best for me.
Either way, no need to catch the pixel toad while dashing!
