We learned back in February that everyone's favourite TV-based twosome from Splatoon 2 were getting their own 'Off The Hook' amiibo, and we've been waiting with baited breath (and baited bank balance) for more details ever since. So here's the good news: Nintendo has finally confirmed the double-pack of Pearl and Marina will arrive on 13th July. Better yet, you can pre-order your very own set right now. Off the hook, or what?
Add that to the news of the newly-revealed Octo Expansion and Splatoon 2 is fast becoming the most talked about (and most consistently supported) first-party title on Nintendo Switch. With regular Splatfest events and weapon variants, it's become one of the most highly-played games here at Nintendo Life.

As of right now, it looks like this is only available to pre-order in the US. Keeping a close eye on the official UK store!

I want the new Tupac and Notorious B.I.G, Marina and Pearl amiibo variants pronto! I don't mind having a bunch of amiibo for Splatoon, since the load outs save to your indiv amiibo.
How much do you want to bet the Octo DLC comes out the same day?
I'll get it from Best Buy since I can get it for $19.99 with GCU, maybe less if I use my reward points.
Also getting the Octo Expansion so that's another $19.99 there. This year is no good for my bank account.

I've put over 400 hours into Splatoon 2, and while I do enjoy Pearl and Marina's banter, I have no desire to have their figurines on my display. MAYBE if they unlock something neat, but I really doubt it.
...Although if it unlocks the Biggie/Tupac gear, I may have to buy them on principle.
