Yacht Club Games has revealed that video recording is coming to Shovel Knight next year.
The studio says that the feature - which was recently enabled on Switch via new firmware - will most likely come as part of the King of Cards update.
So there you have it - soon you'll be able to record your best Shovel Knight moments for posterity.

Now, please, bring out a physical version for switch!
It's unlikely that I'll want to record video of Shovel Knight specifically but it's promising that developers are starting to add the feature to games which are already released. Hopefully we'll see more of this.
That's nice. This feature should be available for every game. I imagine it probably will in the near future.
Been using this on Skyrim to capture epic kills
@BenAV I completely agree
Awesome!
Still waiting for the physical retail release of the whole thing... and said wait is killing me.
@BenAV I agree. I was getting worried that no one will use this feature. Rocket League needs it for sure.
Meh...
It would be cool if I had the Switch version. I already have a physical copy of Shovel Knight on the Wii U, which makes good use of the Wii U Gamepad.
@Deadstanley If they dont include what people now consider "basic features" like the competition its a negative.
Time for me recording myself dancing as Plauge Knight through danger and death traps
I still wish you could record more then 30 secs.

Is the battle mode still coming at the same time as King of Cards?
