The Media Create Japanese chart results are out, and this week delivers modest overall sales with two 3DS titles leading the way.
Making its debut at number one with just 32,369 sales is Taiko Drum Master: Doko Don! Mystery Adventure, with the series continuing to tick along for Bandai Namco in its homeland. After an impressive debut week we see Capcom's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice drop from just under 200,000 units on its debut to 25,288 this time around, but that's still enough for second place. Speaking of Rhythm games, where is Rhythm Heaven on 3DS in Europe?
@ROBLOGNICK : Coming in October. While we're getting it 4 months after the U.S., at least we'll have the option of buying it at retail.
@NintendoFan4Lyf Splatoon is one of the most popular games on the Wii U, it would be very odd if Nintendo didn't release a sequel for NX.
@sillygostly Lucky U!
58 Xbox Ones, ouch.
@NintendoFan4Lyf that's mostly because sales in Japan are terrible across the board. when you can be at no. 1 with 26k sales, you know it's pretty bad
I played the Taiko demo, it's pretty much the same game as always lol
I used to love importing the Taiko Drum Master games as there was little in the way of a language barrier. Thanks for putting an end to that, Nintendo
Isn't the main character of this in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX? I'm slightly intrigued now...
Taiko Drum Master should come to the West. I'd pick it up, out of curiosity.
@NinjaAceTrainer I do believe that weird red thing is in MK Arcade GP DX.
@buildz : I don't know why they won't. It looks so cute and I would love to give the series a try. It certainly would have helped in easing the Wii U's software drought if they had bothered to bring some of these quirky Japanese games to the West.
Gotta import Taiko asap. They are making a bag that looks like wada don that I have to get as well. So much Taiko so little time.
@sillygostly licensing song selection is why it stays in Japan. They tried with Taiko drum master on ps2 and it bombed. Granted it had music in English... But it is similiar to how Just dance in Japan has different songs from the west. Although the Japanese listen to music with English/non Japanese lyrics. Listening to Japanese music isn't mainstream enough in the west to warrant the legal hoop jumping. I'd advise importing.
@buildz Aye, and I believe his name is Don Jon.
