Pocket Card Jockey is a rather unique Game Freak release that we never thought we'd see in the West, but we're now only a little over a week away from its arrival.
The blend of Solitaire and horse racing is quirky enough, but if you've had a spin with the lengthy demo you may have a new appreciation for its charms, from its art style and music down to the rather humorous guide. It seems to be one of the more imaginative and entertaining eShop release of recent times.
In any case, if you haven't tried the demo or just want to learn more about it the following trailer is worth a watch - let us know what you think.

Great demo. Going to get the full game!
Having played the demo for the better part of this last weekend, I can say that I'm unreasonably excited for this release. It shouldn't work, but it does - I couldn't tear myself away!
I've been hooked ever since I got the demo, cleared it/restarted four times so far. Some say a week isn't a long time but for me I'm gonna run out of tries before it gets released!!
Looking forward to its release. Downloaded the demo and was blown away by the fairly addictie gameplay. Won like 95% of the races and played the demo serveal times over because it was just that much fun. But when it's a Game Freak game, I'm not surprised Wish we'd get a confirmed date for the US so I can have my credit card ready
@Riff-the-Don
I feel you! I think I'm down to five uses because I would exit the demo to resume Bravely Second since I'm on a grinding path like crazy but I've been going back and forth when I need a break from Bravely Second
This does look interesting! I haven't tried the demo yet, but hope to pick it up soon.
This proves that Game Freak can churn out more fun games than just Pokemon!
@ShikabaneHime13
Had to restart it as my son wanted to try it before he downloaded it, made him wait as I had just starting playing it 2nd time so he could play the tutorial - I like omelettes 😂
From what I'm hearing this game sounds pretty addictive and fun. I'll have to pick it up when I have the cash.
I haven't tried it yet but I'll give it a go Friday (to many projects at the moment!)
This is Game Freak? Wow. Way amateur for the guys that made Pokemon.
I might check it out.
@Moon : What are you talking about? Were you expecting big budget production values from a game that only costs a few quid?
Love the demo, definitely getting the full version next week
I enjoyed the demo, but it's something that I'll get bored of quickly.
@sillygostly seems pretty low budget compared to Harmo Knight. But no, I'm not expecting AAA. I just thought it seemed indie.
@Moon : Compared to HarmoKnight, sure, but even so, HarmoKnight has a far more repetitive style of gameplay than Pocket Card Jockey (or perhaps card games just lend themselves better to repeat sessions than rhythm games).
Either way, it is a quality title, and one that I'm anticipating. HarmoKnight got too repetitive too quickly for me.
@Moon try the demo and then come back
I really wanted to like HarmoKnight, but, sadly, I think the whole is less than the sum of its parts... by a landslide.
I still need to check out the demo for this, though. I could be down!
The demo had me hooked so I'll happily buy this when it's released. Shame it's not out this week, because I've burned my way through the demo already!
