With FAST Racing NEO it's all in the name - it's futuristic sci-fi racing that's supposed to feel ludicrously quick, bringing to mind classic franchises like F-Zero and WipEout. In total it has three core speed settings - Subsonic, Supersonic and Hypersonic, or as we call them 'quite fast', 'really fast' and 'steady on guv that's TOO FAST'.
Now that we have our sweaty mitts on the game video man Alex has successfully unlocked all three settings, which is a showcase of skills and dedication to the cause considering he's not had it for very long. As a result he's been able to bring together a comparison video to show off all three classes, with a splitscreen effect and everything.
Check it out below and let us know whether you have the need for this much speed.

I will probably be buying this on the 10th
Do you only have subsonic when you start the game for the first time?
That stage could so be Mute City!
@ikki5
Me too,i dont even like racing games but this looks awesome and i want to try it.Also the price is very good and this look more of an AAA game than others which cost 60.
I also need my daily dose of Good morning/day lovely people!!
@Spoony_Tech
carefull to not overdose
So in Mario Kart 8 terms, that's 200cc/300cc/400cc, right? Okay, got it.
@platoonleaderg @Spoony_Tech Top researchers recommend no more than 17.5 servings per day.
Oh wow that game is fast. And it has a very cool F-Zero GX vibe.
@mjharper: Ha. That was the analysis I was doing in my head. Seriously, it seems like 100/150/200. The seems doable, the second takes a lot of work and track memorization, the third, well, good luck!
I'm looking forward too this game, but still hesitant about online. Going to wait to see if they can handle online
Facing Racing Neo > Sleep
@Grumblevolcano Yes, you have to earn the higher speed classes, which is fair enough I think.
This is looking to scratch that F-Zero itch very nicely.
I really love what I'm seeing there! The hypersonic speed class also seems to hold potential for really slick tracks skips, similarly to F-Zero GX, which means it's gonna be a joy to keep trying to kill your previous record!
A well done video indeed, thanks!
So good! I honestly think this could beat Splatoon as my favorite Wii U game this year.
These guys need to make a Wii U Jett Rocket!
I'm not much of a racing guy but this game looks brilliant. Getting that nice F-Zero feeling
The camera bumps too much when the ship lands. In general, the game looks like a great effort, which is very welcome. However, I gave up F-Zero GX because it was too fast... I want to know how difficult the game is and how you unlock everything. Reviews, come.
Depends what we get apart from that one average looking but fast track.
I hope online play works well. I can't imagine Hypersonic with lag being much fun.
This looks really great! Can't wait for the 10th.
This makes me pick up MK8 again to finally master the 200cc mode. ^^
Day 1 and good Lord this makes me want a new XtremeG more than anything. I'm trying to think of what body part I'd give up for it. As it turns out, none. But, I did heavily debate it though
@zool This is one of the slowest tracks; I chose it because it was one of the few courses I could actually reliably complete in Hypersonic.
That song was asking for a two-hand tapping riff guitar. Anyway, this game looks like a lot of fun! And reaaally fast.
It's called supersonic, but you don't seems to cause a sonic boom at any point while reaching top speed.
One week...
Looks like a game I had on the GameCube... But that is a good thing. I played it to death and would love to play it again. I'm not one for racing games but I enjoyed the bright neon, pounding soundtrack and overall feeling of speed and this game looks just as good.
Looks great... I just don't think it's for me, but can't decide... I love MK8 but never got into F-Zero or Extreme-G back in the day...
Now, if Shin'en would make a spiritual successor to Wave Race... I'd be down for that...
My wi-fi is not fast enough for this video!!!
Must own for sure, wise it would get an retail release in the future as well.
"Please do bear in mind that Youtube chews up video like a puppy with a beef flavored slipper, so this footage does not do the game's visuals justice!"
Hilarious quote and just one more reason to get this game!
My oh my hypersonic finished before subsonic started its final lap..... I can't wait for this. One question though Tom....... Can you destroy your craft like in f-zero or do you just fall off the track? I like to see you been punished for crashing into the barriers.
Damn I forgot how much I missed Extreme G on my n64
Also in the video I'm about to link from the alpha footage shown at Nintendo tree house what exactly happens at 1:04 it seems that the cpu vehicles have crashed and have spawned back in the track but it looks like when they spawn it slows your vehicle down too??? Is this in the final game, please take a look it's at 1:04

Sonic vs Subsonic: "You're too sloooooow"
Sonic vs Super Sonic: "You're too slooooooow"
Sonic vs Hyper Sonic: "you're too...ahhh shhhhhhh!!!" gets run over
LUDICROUS SPEED GO!
This brings back wonderful memories of playing F-Zero GX and yelling out "too fast! TOO FAST!!!". Eventually I got good enough at that game that I didn't panic when the game started going totally nuts, so I only hope I'll have the patience/free time to get really good at this game, too, because it looks fantastic.
It's no Mariokart, good try though!
@gamermole In Hero Mode your boost meter is also a shield meter which gets depleted when you crash into barriers. This mode also only takes place in Hypersonic and should you lose all your shield or fall off the edge once it's game over.
Roll on 10th want want want
Holy shart! Hypersonic actually lapped Subsonic speed in the end, so awesome!
It's almost time...
@Pod Yeah I missed that to. Extreme-G was the only game i've played wich used it. Loved the effect they used to represent it.
Played the game at Gamescom and was sold on it ever since. Day one buy!
@AlexOlney that's so nice to hear thank you.
