Cloud looks better than I expected (and the stage looks great). I will get him for sure.

I don't like Cloud, I don't like Final Fantasy 7, and having a Sony-exclusive character on a Nintendo game feels super weird.

You need to close the eShop.
It won't update while you are using the eShop application.

I'll get cloud and bayonetta. Cloud because I've been a fan since he came out in 97'. Bayonetta cuz she seems unique and a combo queen.

I'd buy the Midgar stage for $1 b/c the summons are so cool. And I'll probably pick up the Cloud amiibo. But I can't justify $20 to get the DLC and the amiibo.

How much would it cost to buy the SSB game, all the DLC, and all the SSB amiibo? $700 like Lego Dimensions that everybody is always complaining about?

I still play this game at least once per weekend with friends. With the exception of Mii costumes, I'll buy any DLC Nintendo drops.

@rjejr Assuming that the new Mii costumes will be $0.75/$1.15, it would cost $103.18 to buy all the DLC on Wii U and 3DS. If you can get all the amiibos at MSRP, assuming you're getting both ROBs and assuming that the Retro pack and the Mii Fighters are the only bundles, that's $758.45 plus tax. Include the price of the games, and that's $961.61 to have everything on both consoles. If you factor in getting the consoles, assuming the cheapest options of a $200 Wii U and a $60 2DS refurbished from Nintendo's website, plus a $19.99 amiibo adapter for the 2DS, that's $1,241.60, or approximately one student loan payment for me. Plus tax.

I'll buy a Cloud amiibo if that ever comes. About it for me.

@Adamario Damn I knew smash was costly but not that much (even removing the consoles which I think normally anyone who bought them did not dp it for smash only) (Also I understand you on the student loan payment to some extent... In my case with that I could pay a whole semester on my University)

@CharlieSmile Although FFVII has never appeared on a Nintendo console, Cloud has appeared on Nintendo consoles in several spin-off games. Final Fantasy also began on Nintendo consoles with the original on the NES, and II and III (really VI) on the SNES, so I'm glad the Final Fantasy series is being represented in Smash. I think III, IV, and V were released on the SNES in Japan. The bottom line is, if you don't like FFVII or Cloud, then you have no soul. Glad you're still going to download him though.

I bought today's DLC on both systems, and had no issues with busy servers. Maybe I just got there earlier than most on accident.

Easily the best reveal of the new characters and one who has a much greater significance to the gaming world than the other 2 could ever dare to dream of. The only puzzling aspect is to why he's in a Nintendo game but in any case I can't wait to use him. My only surprise is that a Mercedes wasn't a dlc character 😂
