Splatoon's the game that just keeps on giving, and this week we've been graced with two brand spanking new weapons: the H-3 Nozzlenose D and the Luna Blaster Neo!
The H-3 Nozzlenose D is a heavy-duty, long-range weapon that fires a burst of rounds at your foe with tremendous damage, but at a pretty weedy rate of fire. You'll have to make the most of the Point Sensor and Inkzooka to make it through.
The Luna Blaster Neo is a close-quarters weapon that packs a serious punch and you don't even have to be all that accurate with it, but if you're caught off-guard by a sniper or another long-range weapon you'll have to unleash the mighty Bomb Rush and scare those foes away.
Make sure you check out both of these weapons in the respective videos below, and if you haven't already make sure you subscribe to Nintendo Life's YouTube channel!

I haven't played it in months, does it basically play the same or did all the neweapons change it up a lot.
The last new weapon I used was the zapper.
I'm sticking with my Tentatek Splattershot, but new stuff is always welcome, keep it up! My nephew borrowed Splatoon off me, we're having withdrawal symptoms in my house
I'll keep with my current Nozzlenose since I prefer kraken to inkzooka, but new content is always great.
@SetupDisk The new weapons are constantly changing up the battlefield; it's glorious.
@AlexOlney Way to stretch the truth there, friendo. The DLC weapons only slightly tweak the stats of existing weapons or add different subs or specials to them. They don't make that much of a difference as many might think. The DLC updates they have promised have felt so minor and insignificant that it got boring very quickly, even with the new maps that feel so basic with no real gimmick to them to make them stand out. Definitely not worth the ridiculous $60 price tag set in America.
@Mr_Diabolical I should have known better than to have an optimistic opinion on the internet.
@Mr_Diabolical sounds like someone doesn't own the game and is just trolling
@Mr_Diabolical @AlexOlney @SetupDisk
Depends on your definition of "months".
The paint brushes were new, but I just call them "mop men" and laugh when I see them before I waste them. The paint buckets were a completely new twist, lots of ink in a small area, you're a goner if your close. The mini guns almost make it feel like a real battle, and the spray wall w/ the mini gun is one of the best combos they made.
And besides new weapons there have been stages, some of which really change things up. Camp Trigger fish is my favorite in the game by far, I hate Moray Towers as the new paint roller covers everything everywhere. Ive only played in the Heights a few times but I like that one as well. I don't think I've played on the bridge yet as its never in rotation when I play, hopefully tonight for Splatfest (US), last one had boring lame levels.
There have been a lot of weapon modifications which don't do much, and it's still basically the same game, but from launch day to now it's about doubled in scope w/ stages and weapon types, so again, how long ago is "months"? Splatfest is always fun, low stress, and I like playing at night. It's really the only time I play since the Mets got good end of July.
Nice, they do keep rehashing older weapons more so in these updates. I think the last new weapons were the slosher & mini gatling guns, fair to say ? I think if we had more of that it would be awesome. I still feel like the game is missing something. Granted we got the modes modes that were intended for this game at launch later on. I'd say if we got one or two more distinctive modes this game would feel ever so complete, any thoughts ?
What id like to see:
I justify buying a game based on how many hours I put into it or how great the experience was. I don't get to play as much as I once did, but I really feel that I have gotten my money worth with Splatoon. It's kind of breathed new life into the FPS genre that I once loved.
This Splatfest is one of the only ones that I feel I'll be able to get some serious play time in before it ends so I'm excited. Although, I do tend to pick the losers. I've yet to be on the winning side......sorry Pirates!
I really didn't like Splatoon at first but I keep going back to it evey now and then and get hooked all over again! Over 80 hours and counting!
I like how weapon selection seems to come and go in waves. As an aerosprayer devotee, I LOVE hunting the rollers and can generally deal with a host of other weapons. But the NES Zapper and any weapon equipped with the *@#$%@! bubbler are my absolute poison, so stop using them people, lol!
I like having a wide variety of different main, sub, and special weapon combos to chose from. Hope they add a mode to see which team gets the most kills or shoots the most targets / balloons.
@MJKOP Let your nephew keep that copy and buy another one
@bluedogrulez Lol the NES Zapper gets me every time as well xD
@rjejr
Looks like it was sometime in June.
@m0rph3u5 he's borrowed it so his parents can decide whether to get him his own copy! Same with Super Mario Maker, him and his two sisters have really been enjoying both games so I reckon he may just get them on Christmas morning!
@rjejr I'd love to catch you online sometime sounds like you're pretty good at Splatoon
@Mr_Diabolical Troll much.?????
Personally, I feel Luna Blaster is the biggest "try hard" weapon in game. Maybe cause I get killed by it... But, you really don't have to aim. It has an area of effect. Just aim a little in the air. The splat makes a large circle & kills everything above & below.
Weapons are ok, but I don't care enough to boot splatoon to just look at that.
October is the first month where we didn't get a new stage since release, which makes me think development is winding down (if it hasn't already wound down already), or they're saving stuff for a paid update. I hope they're not because that'll fracture the userbase, and I don't play splatoon enough anymore to justify a paid update on top (possibly twice since I also use two wii us...)
Trying out new weapon combos really breathed new life into the game for me. Just wish they had at least 3 stages in rotation with the option to vote which stage and mode to play on. Also, I hate being teamed up with people who don't even know how to use their loadouts. -_-
I haven't gotten used to the Nozzlenose style weapons yet. I've seen them being used to good effect by others. There's still a lot of weapons that I haven't used at all. It's fun learning the different types.
Must say though, I am crap at the Splatling guns.
@AlexOlney Don't listen to @Mr_Diabolical. His entire comment is full of ignorance.
@Linkstrikesback They actually do have four new maps that they're completing.
@bluedogrulez so u r one of the opponents I love to hate playing against! Sprayers haunt my roller dreams. Lol
