It can sometimes seem like the Wii U eShop is getting a lot of the Nindie love, but 3DS owners have a potentially exciting arrival around the corner. Gunslugs 2, originally developed by OrangePixel and being ported by Engine Software, is heading to the 3DS eShop in North America and Europe on 22nd October, priced at €4.99 / $4.99.
Previously released on a range of platforms including smart devices, this is an intense pixel-based action game that looks rather fun, with the following feature-set for its 3DS version.
- Seven worlds, 8 levels per world, end of level bosses
- All levels randomly generated, no two games are the same
- Story mode, and Arcade (highscore) mode
- Daily challenges
- Awesome 80's action hero soundtrack
- Stereoscopic 3D visuals
OrangePixel's Pascal Bestebroer described it as an "old-school arcade action game" in an interview with us not so long ago, and the prospect was raised for potential future updates (including co-op support) should it perform well on the store.
Are you excited about this one coming to 3DS? Perhaps the screenshots below will help you decide.

Cave story anyone??
For 5$ I might have to look into this. Looks like mindless fun!
Looks fun I may check this out.
For this price I'll definitely be buying as long it reviews at 7 or higher.
@BinaryFragger Me too! Really enjoyed the first one on Vita, so I'll certainly be grabbing this sequel come 'update time' on Thursday!
Which was first? This or Broforce?
I might try this on my Tablet first. Then compare prices before I buy. I'm seriously getting sick of 1.99 games being 5.99 or more in the Eshop. Not cool in my book.
I'm buying this first day. It looks like a fun game.
lol, just noticed that the text in one of the screenshots reads, "Himalaya's".
