The UK chart results have been updated for another week and bring a decent outcome for Nintendo; despite a small number of new arrivals on other platforms the current mainstays on Wii U and 3DS are holding good positions.
For starters Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer has enjoyed a strong second week in stores, dropping just one place in both the all-format and single-format charts, meaning it's in 7th and 8th place respectively. FIFA 16 is number one (of course) and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a new arrival on PS4 that made its debut in 2nd place; the likes of Happy Home Designer have stayed ahead of Rock Band 4, however, which only managed 10th place in its first week.
Super Mario Maker is another solid performer, maintaining its run in 18th place in the all-format charts, a modest drop of three places. It's actually moved up the same number of places to 10th in the single-format stakes, however, which is a pleasing result. Way down at the bottom of the all-format top 40, meanwhile, we have Mario Kart 8 sneaking onto the grid.
The only notable disappointment is that the Wii U version of LEGO Dimensions was the only entry of that title that didn't get into the single-format top 40; we're currently finishing off our review which will be with you shortly.
A decent week all told for Nintendo in the UK.

Las weekend i got 10 Streetpass hits in the city. Much to my surpirse, three of the ten had recently played Happy Home Designer. It must be very popular with the AC:NL crowd
Is HHD the type of game that could be ported to smart devices? It looks like it could be done mostly with touch controls but I haven't played it. AC:aF looks like it can be played with no controls so that shouldn't be a problem to port. AC seems to me like the type of IP that could really go over big with the casual crowd. I've already suggested that SMM could be ported as an editor app, but you would need a Wii U to play the levels, platforming just doesn't work well with touch, I've plated enough of them to know that.
Well glad to see anything Nintendo selling in the UK.
@rjejr They said they wouldn't be simply porting stuff to mobile so I don't think that's happening. At least not for a few years.
@rjejr plus no main series titles.
@Mineral - "They said they wouldn't be simply porting stuff to mobile so I don't think that's happening."
They also said no DLC for SSB, need I say more?

I'm surprised to see Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer stay on the Top 10. It seemed like a game that would drop out of the Top 30 after its 2nd week on the market. Guess I was wrong. I wonder where this game's legs will carry it.
Be interesting to see when HHD drops off the list. HHD is okay as far as it goes, but it doesn't really go that far at all, having the single goal of decorating/designing building interiors and exteriors. I wonder if the novelty of the amiibo cards and the popularity of New Leaf is what is driving sales. My purchase was because of New Leaf, but to be honest, having done about 40 houses and the entire town, I feel like I'm done with it.
Why not just post the actual list?
Now that Lego Dimensions has sold poorly, I hope the price goes down just as fast as its chart position.
@GLA Me too, that game just screams the words "rip off".
Pity about LD, I bought the lot and I'm loving it, worth every cent.
