Back in April we brought you the announcement of Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations, which is coming to a whole load of systems including Wii U and 3DS. Confirmed for 'Fall', the reveal was bizarrely accompanied by a 20-second proof-of-concept video that demonstrated how the popular duo would look in a fully 3D environment.
The early results were modest albeit relatively charming, but now we have a proper trailer. This is courtesy of Bandai Namco, which is publishing the game in Europe - Little Orbit is publisher in North America - this October. It shows the quirky sleuths exploring their world, chatting to bizarre characters and engaging in some combat.
It looks decent, if not amazing, though we're still not sure how it'll shape up on 3DS - in any case, check out the trailer below.

This doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look like a Wii U game. There's more they could do with the Gamepad. Also, the graphics could definitely use some improvement.
Eh.
Just like the show these games are slowly losing their original purpose. Am I topical now?
That was actually kind of... good.
Might buy it if it's cheap

I love Adventure Time, but have been underwhelmed by the majority of its games- perhaps I have too high expectations. Either way this is looking decent and I'll be sure to at least give it a go when it comes out.
The model work isn't the worst but they look stiff in cutscenes
It really is hard to decide which art wtyle is the bigger affront to the eyes. Not that it really matters, there are many better points of criticism where that show is concerned.
not a huge fan of the show, but I may get around to picking this up once it's in under $20 territory.
I don't think it looks bad but the animation is terrible... the characters have no life to them and they move so stiff. The cartoon is so fluid and I feel that the original art style was made around being fluid, like fins and jake's limbs..
I'm a massive, biased Adevnture Time nerd, and I don't want to say that this is the game AT fans have been waiting for, but this could well be the game AT fans have been waiting for.
Also the art style translates well into 3D, but we knew that from the excellent A Glitch is a Glitch.
I'm actually impressed with the art style. Not sure what everyone expects from an adventure time game. I loved the other games.
I loved the trailer. Looks really up my alley. Of course, given Little Orbit's track record, one can't help but be wary... but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Unity?
