Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympics Is Getting An Arcade Release

Are we even still sure it's coming out on Wii U and 3DS, b/c it isn't on here for either. I know both places read - "And more to be announced" but this was announced before E3.

.....I'll most likely be playing this on Wii U or 3DS anyways, unless this somehow makes it at a Dave & Busters, but we moved not to long ago, and now live further away from it, so the arcade nearest to me is a Chuck E. Cheeses.......It has Metal Slug 6 in it surprisingly.

I hope this one is better than the last one - I bought it and I found it close to uncontrollable - I liked 2012 and 2010 - but 2014 as baaaaaad

@rjejr Those are all 1st/2nd Party titles. While this does have Mario, SEGA pretty much does most if not all of the game development so this would sorta count as a 3rd party game...with Mario characters.

Well, maybe this game will be more of a button masher then a motion control game this time...

I'm almost positive Lego Dimensions and Disney Infinity are 3rd party. (I'm not sure about Skylanders b/c of the DK and Bowser crossover Nintendo specific editions.) Probably Yokai Watch and Sonic Boom are 3rd party as well. But they are all on there. Did you even at it look before you commented?

I'm probably not going to get it on Wii U, but if it shows up at an arcade nearby or something, I'll check it out there.

Either way, I doubt Nintendo would lend out their characters for another Olympic games just for SEGA to cancel the Nintendo home console versions and only have an arcade version. If that were the case, SEGA could just replace the Mario characters with either more Sonic characters or another IP and turn it into a PS4/XBONE game as well...

@Angelic_Lapras_King - Yeah, that was kinda tiny, I'll try and find a bigger one. Unless Ninteod only made them little so we couldn't read it? They put out a press release announcing Devils Third in NA in the 4th quarter but it's a secret and nobody is allowed to see it.

Honestly, this is very late. I knew this around 2 weeks ago.

Wish Sega would stop screwing around making these stupid games with Nintendo and make a good Sonic game like Sonic Generations on ps4 and Xbox one.

This be cool to see this game in a arcade. It'd be pretty cool.
