Atlus has spun the Dancer into the spotlight in its latest Etrian Mystery Dungeon trailer; it's a support class that specializes in buffing party members. Given this dancers are not the most adept at combat, but not only can they raise the stats of other characters, they can also change the party order and act as a healer if needed.
The Dancer compliments the previously shown classes; the defence heavy Protector, the magic using Runemaster, the team healer the Medic, and the long-range Gunner. These archetypes come together to form the party that will be used to venture through the roguelike dungeons of the game.
Etrian Mystery Dungeon releases on 3DS on 7th April in North America, with no European release date yet given. Getting excited for this one? Does the Dancer look like a class you will play as?

I'll most likely get this day one but I don't know when I'll get to play it. Love the support Atlus has given the 3ds as I believe they have given the most 3rd party games on the system. Not happy with everything they do but can't fault the high support!
Atlus has almost single-handedly insured that the 3DS has an amazing selection of JRPGs in its library.
I bought almost everything they have on 3DS. I am a big fan since Persona 2 for PS1. When I see that a game is from Atlus or is published by Atlus I already know it will not go below a certain degree of quality and I buy it.
TBH, I haven't been interested much in Atlus lately as much as I love them (too many friggin' spinoffs and ports selling for more than typical 3ds retail). But I'm willing to be a hypocrite for this kind of spinoff. It's less character fan service (PersonaQ, P4G) and more gameplay fanservice: mixing Shirin with EO has a potential for genius.
The best part about Altus is that within three months the game will go on a biweekly cycle of being discounted 25-60%. At least in North America......
no thanks. I hope its the last diversion from classic etrian odyssey dungeon crawler genre. I want them to focus on whats been done many times already but thats just me.
@R_Champ I really don't see how this is any different from Persona Q, but with Mystery Dungeon gameplay. :/ Not that I'm personally complaining...
