Earlier this week we reported on an upcoming Wii U title inspired by Minecraft, in this case developed by Cypronia and called Cube Life: Island Survival. It's not the only block-based world-building title headed to Wii U, and will no doubt hope to grab attention courtesy of the iconic Mojang title.
The Creative Mode is, as the name suggests, all about creating environments using the editing tool in the game; sharing through Miiverse is promised as a priority. Cypronia has release six new screens to show this in action, with examples including modern houses, a space shuttle, medieval Stronghold and ancient pyramids in Egypt.
You can see these below; are you looking forward to this release, or are you still uncertain / on the fence? Let us know.

Wow, this looks good, but I'm still not interested. UCraft looks much more fun to me
Still a no for me
Did they try to add as much bloom as they possibly could in this? I mean the last image just looks horribly bright.
Looks decent enough in the screen but the real test is actually playing the thing...
Need to turn down the bloom/HDR or whatever it is on the sun (that light source in the sky) though.
The art direction looks rather more solid than what Ucraft displayed, but this is still a perosnality-ridden wannabe, that seems to be bringing very little to the table.
Perhaps they meant for the photos to be that bright, artistically. I like it a lot. Might have to get this, if it plays right.
Looks pretty sharp so far.
Granted, while the Space Shuttle image looks good, it just reminds me how much NASA (and our idiot politicians) failed to maintain or properly evolve that program. RIP American space travel.
Take what you can get, good alternative I say
That's some nice looking water. Minecraft never quite hooked me; perhaps I'll give this one a try.
THAT LIGHT THO!
Likey Likey
I'm really rooting for this one. I hope it lives up to the promise.
This is not a game yet. :/ It does look a bit more polished than U Craft but it's just a tech demo so far and the pictures REALLY lean on that simple but pretty water effect, and now some overblown light effects. It's cool and all, but the game is the thing.
I'd love for it to be awesome, but I'm not feeling it yet. There are better mobile games. (I wonder if the Survival Craft guy has contemplated Wii U)
Very disappointed about no Minecraft for Wii U the more I think about it. It's just such a good fit. Nintendo realized it a bit late and even hinted they were looking into it, but Microsoft wanted it as a killer game app for their new --and very promising-- HoloLens hardware. Microsoft doesn't have to hold it back from Wii U, right?
Meh
On my list to buy!!!
@aaronsullivan
Well, Minecraft still came to the Vita after the Microsoft acquisition...

@Quorthon @aaronsullivan plus Telltales is working on Minecraft Story Mode for all platforms the original game was on
uhhhhh minecraft much?
I'm totally buying it. Thanks for making this.
So they got away with it by making the playable character black?
