At the start of January this year, Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham confirmed that a sequel to Mutant Mudds is in the works, titled Mutant Mudds 2.
In a recent interview with Cubed3, Watsham was asked if the game would appear on both the 3DS and Wii U eShop, and responded positively:
Yes, I think it is safe to assume that Mutant Mudds 2 will be on both 3DS and Wii U. But, if one platform released before the other, it will be the 3DS that sports Max’s new adventure first. Max knows where his roots are.
Although "safe to assume" isn't altogether a confirmation of its release on the Wii U eShop, we sure hope it lands on the system in the future. We still have Mutant Mudds Deluxe to look forward to, which is released in North America this week, on 13th June. We interviewed Renegade Kid last week, where Jools discussed the upcoming home console debut, and looks to the future with the Wii U.

so pushmo, switch force and mudds now all have there sequels... where is the sukara samurai sequel?
A lot of things need to change for me to even consider this! I want a refund for the first game!
@SirQuincealot It's possible it didn't sell very well. Out of the games you mentioned, it's the most niche out of them. As a result, it may not have gotten enough sales to warrant a sequel.
It seems as though Mutant Mudds, albeit a great game, is mimicing Mighty Switch Force. Both games originated on the 3DS, got an HD remake on the Wii U, and now are getting a sequel.
Can't wait. LOVED the original.

@3DGamerDude Actually, Jools announced MM2 way before WayForward announced MSF2.
