News Euro Update: Wild West Guns and Defend Your Castle
Lucky European gamers have been gifted not one but two WiiWare releases today. Hurrah!
Wild West Guns is a neat-looking shooter that attempts to capture the thrills and spills of traditional light gun titles. It reminds us a little of Konami’s crusty old arcade shooter Lethal Enforcers II: Gunfighters – hopefully it’s a bit better! Expect our...

News Space Invaders Get Even To Come With Bargain Price Tag
It seems that there's more good news for Space Invaders fans inside the newest issue of Japanese game magazine Famitsu. According to several scans from the magazine, Space Invaders Get Even will only cost a paltry 500 Wii Points when it hits the WiiWare service. Of course there could be a catch to that. The magazine also confirms that there will be downloadable stages available that could cost you additional Wii Points. Despite this minor catch, 500 Wii Points is still a great deal for the basic game.

Review Frat Party Games: Pong Toss (WiiWare)
Is Pong Toss the life of the party, or just another sobering WiiWare experience?
Before we start, it's worth noting that Pong Toss began life as "Beer Pong" but due to worries about references to alcohol, developer JV Games opted for a more family-friendly name and removed all the naughty drinks as well. We're sure Nintendo and the ESRB...
News OFLC Update: Wonder Boy in Monster Land
The OFLC has rated one new game today: Wonder Boy in Monster Land is the second game in the Wonder Boy series and the last game in the series we didn't have on VC yet (Not counting the Japan-only Monster World IV). The game ditched the original Wonder Boy's gameplay entirely, instead going for a more RPG-oriented gameplay style. Alongside simple platforming, you will also have to defeat enemies for money to buy better equipment, and experience.
Once the game has been released, we will have at least one version of each game in the series on VC...

The likelyhood for an Okami sequel has been thrown in to doubt, unless gamers do something about it.

Review Chase H.Q. (Virtual Console / TurboGrafx-16)
Let's go Mr. Driver!
Back in 1988 Taito released Chase HQ into arcades around the world. It took the driving aspects from many other racing games of the time period and coupled them together with the intense action of a high-speed police pursuit. While this offered a nice change of pace from the typical and often redundant racing experiences found...

News USA WiiWare Update: Pong Toss
If the concept of tossing pongs appeals to you then this week’s WiiWare release will probably have you crying tears of ecstasy. Frat Party Games: Pong Toss (previously known as Beer Pong before Nintendo got a bit moody about the connection with alcohol) is a digital representation of the popular college pastime and certainly looks amusing enough, but as always we will reserve judgment until we’ve actually had chance to sit down with a cool six pack and review it – which should be very shortly.

Review Neo Turf Masters (Virtual Console / Neo Geo)
Golf in Neo Geo style.
There are basically two good golf games available for the Neo Geo. The game features some very playable game...

The Classic Controller is a lovely one-for-all controller for playing Virtual Console games, but if you’re like me you probably long for a small square edged controller to enjoy NES goodness. We’d assume these will work on any VC games that support the Wiimote as a controller, but would be best suited for NES, Master System and TG-16 gaming.

Review Art of Fighting 2 (Virtual Console / Neo Geo)
Garcia is back
The original Art of Fighting may not have threatened Street Fighter II in terms of gameplay but it certainly turned a few heads and stole some of the trade away from Capcom’s seminal 2D fighter. Review Ninja Commando (Virtual Console / Neo Geo)
Ikari Warriors with ninjas - awesome!
Ninja Commando is often confused for Ninja Combat or even its sequel, but in fact, it's neither. While the game is an earlier...

News Maboshi: The Three Shape Arcade - WiiWare OFLC rated
A strange new OFLC rating popped up today - Maboshi: The Three Shape Arcade was no title we had ever heard of before! Family games live or die by their controls, and motion controls even more so.
