The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom News
Talking Point Is It Time For Another Side-Scrolling Zelda Game?
2D or not 2D?
This time last year, the thought of having a new top-down Zelda in our hands felt like a pipe dream. But then Echoes of Wisdom came along and reaffirmed the idea that the future of the series might not be an exclusively open-world, 3D affair. But our minds are now drifting to the franchise's other style, one we haven't seen used in...

Put your Alarmo on snooze and settle into the weekend, it's time for another edition of What Are You Playing! If that opening line wasn't enough of a reminder, we got the announcement of new Nintendo hardware this week (but not that one). Yes, Nintendo revealed the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, a device that only the...

Ex-Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aimé has acknowledged a potential Easter Egg in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. UK Charts Zelda Echoes Last Week's Decent Performance
Another win for the princess
The latest UK Charts data is in, and there's practically no difference for the top performers this week as both EA Sports FC 25 and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom solidify their positions at 1 and 2 respectively. News Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom's Overworld Appears To Include Links To The Past
Fans are already uncovering missing links
When The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom was initially revealed, there was a fair bit of speculation about the new overworld and how it possibly linked up with the map in previous entries. Opinion Hyrule Really Needs To Take A Look At Its Prison System
In the c(Link)
My first hour in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom left me with a single, unshakeable thought: God, Hyrule's prisons are terrible. Yes, I was besotted with how traditional the whole thing felt and still somewhat in shock that I had a brand new Zelda game in my hands a mere 18 months after its predecessor. But all that went out of...

Talking Point How Would You Fix Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom's Most Frustrating Feature?
Natural selection
We've been playing The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom pretty consistently over the past week and it's safe to say we're really rather fond of it. Sure, the frame rate could be improved (not that it bothers everybody) and the lock-on can be a little fiddly, but overall it's a jolly good time and a fine return for top-down Zelda...

Hands On Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Brings Tantalising Creativity To The 2D Template
Echo, Echo, Echo, what's going on here?
It’s fairly safe to say that everyone was pretty jazzed when Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. We haven’t had a new top-down Zelda game since 2013’s A Link Between Worlds, assuming of course you don’t count Tri Force Heroes, and if that was your mindset, we wouldn't entirely...
About The Game
Save the kingdom of Hyrule—this time with the wisdom of Princess Zelda!
The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared—and with a certain swordsman among the missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom in a brand-new The Legend of Zelda™ story!
Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the Tri Rod to create “echoes”, which are imitations of things you find in the environment—then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Create echoes like water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes—or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat!

Shouldn't this be called The Legend of Link?
@Mortenb great observation.
@Mortenb Very clever. I like that a lot.
It’s a shame it’s a Zelda game and needs to not be complicated by a name change but it might have been nice. I wonder if anyone at Nintendo thought of it?
How is everyone liking this? Have a long flight coming up and was looking for a physical copy game
