World of Goo is easily the best game on WiiWare. It's Totally worth every penny.
And about it being creepy, i think it's supposed to be creepy in a funny sort of way. When my friend first played it he described it as "a collaboration between Tim Burton, Weird Al, and Radiohead".
I never thought it looked that great, and I downloaded the demo, and my opinion didn't change. It was fun, but I'm DEFINITELY not going to pay that much for it.
Yea, this topic, seeing as the demo ended a few months ago, is defiantly not needed now.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
World of Goo is still the poster boy of WiiWare in my opinion. But for that reason I do think it's slightly overated and I can underststand why some are dissappointed by it, I certainly wasn't though.
1500 Wii Points worth alone for the outstanding soundtrack. Well, it's neat to have a fantastic game on top of that. And replay value in form of 1 extra mission in each stage.
The sign painter is really cool! And MOM!!!! I love her!

Totally agree with this post. It's attention to details (excellent background music, smooth graphics, humor) that really push this game over the edge from good to great. I didn't love World of Goo that many reviewers did, but it's such a well-made game that I can understand why others do love it...
I got it for a discount on Steam (US$4.99). This was before I was even considering buying anything on WiiWare/VC. The game's a good physics puzzler, and it's fun for a few hours. I imagine I'll get back to it later and do some more levels, then drop it, then get back to it, ad infinitum.
If you didn't really enjoy the demo enough to decide to buy it or not i don't advise you to buy it. If it was 1000 points then yeah I would recommend it but it stands at a steep 1500 points.
It's your money.
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
The first chapter is easily the worst; Chapter 4: The Information Superhighway is where it's at. But then again, the game's not even about having fun (although it is fun), it's actually a work of art.
