CONFIRMED VIA TWITTER: They should have a date any day now.
Here's my version: If they don't get the date before monday Europe is screwed over for the Jan. deadline.
On Jan 14 they Tweeted "Hoping to confirm our release date this week " My money is seeing it come out the same day as the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate demo (Feb 21)

I doubt it'll be THAT long. Last week they were saying "We'll be finishing it any day now and will get a date". Now they say "We should have a date any day now"

I prefer the Pinball Arcade to zen because the ball physics don't feel right to me: too floaty. However I do like pinball and I'll check it out assuming you can demo the tables before buying them. You couldn't do that in Zen for iOS and consequently I wasn't keen to spend based upon Sorcerers Lair.
I think the opposite actually. I think the ball has more weight to it on Zen where as PA seems more floaty. I guess it comes down more to preference!

It's coming january 31th, they just released the european line up.
here's the official trailer, any clue of the off-tv play feature?
If it's not the case I think I will purchase some tables on my PSVita, since I know from past experiences I don't even bother to turn on a home console for playing pinball
I'm sort of interested, but I'd rather have DLC tables for Zen Pinball on 3DS to play in 3D. If you buy tables on the PS3 I think you get them for PS3 and Vita for one price, but I'm assuming we would have to buy tables twice to get them on both the Wii U and 3DS since the eShops aren't linked. I don't want to buy tables on the Wii U only to find out later that I could have got them on the 3DS instead.
The DLC purchasing leaves a lot to be desired. Although there are buttons to purchase/trial tables, both just pop up a screen saying you need to go into the eShop to purchase or download table demos - even the Wii was slicker than that. When you do go into the eShop you need to tap through a few screens to get to the list and then you're limited to five items to purchase/download - um, why? I picked the max number of trial tables nearly 30min ago and it's still downloading them. Honestly I could have had all of these downloaded on my iPad by now and I wouldn't have had to leave the app.

Very confused about why this is so clumsy...
I just relayed that to the Zen forums! If you don't mind?

As far as I know Ninja Gaiden, Ms Splosionman, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Nightmare Mansion, and Street Fighter II are not available here (they're exclusive to other platforms, or Zen Studios don't have the rights to them anymore, I don't know, but the developers already announced more tables for the Wii U version.
I also don't know if the Pinball FX games (Speed Machine, Extreme, Agents, and Buccaneer & Biolab, Pasha, Rome, and Secrets of the Deep) are part of the ZEN series.
I have heard that R & B and I believe Nightmare Mansion were doomed to die on the Xbox 360. It's running on older hardware and they don't have the time to update them. Too much time and money I believe. That's straight from the Zen forums and a Zen rep! As for the rest I'm not sure about.

Civil War is available, not sure why they didn't announce it before, but it's there.
My initial download of five demos (two of which were packs) ended up taking 40min, though the initial estimate of nine minutes was too long. I don't know if it's server capacity or distance or bandwidth, but Nintendo really needs to sort this. My iOS 6.1 update was over 1GB and took less than an hour; I think these table demos were a couple hundred MB tops. If I want to purchase I'll need to go back and download the things again. Of course I still don't have even half the demos yet - why didn't Zen include the demos with the initial download?
