Any of you folks in North America planning to pick this up when it launches on the eshop tomorrow for the low price of $19.99? (I'm not 100% sure how much space it takes up; the file size is 6.5 GB in Europe, so I see no reason why that wouldn't be the case here.)

I just received some money yesterday, so I was originally planning on getting the Wii version imported from Play Asia... But now I'll be getting far sooner and cheaper than I expected!
I'm happy that I connected that old 500 GB HDD I had lying around to my Wii U, so no worries about size.
Though, between XCX (I still don't finish, damn you Uni) and XC I won't have any time left.
I won't be picking it up, only because I don't have an extra 100+ hours on my schedule, and my Wii save is on an SD card. I don't believe there's any way to get that to my Wii U, because...Nintendo.
That said, I'm stoked that it's (finally) coming to the U.S. eShop. If anyone hasn't played the game, I implore you to do so — I'd reckon this is the most pleasant way to enjoy it outside of emulation (and maybe better, if you prefer off-TV play). The fact that Nintendo hasn't forgotten about Xenoblade this generation has been a pleasant surprise.
A bit of a random day to release this, but it's nice that we finally got it in NA. Definitely would prefer to play this on a console than a handheld, just wait until I get some more money before I can get this lol.

I don't really have the time to play it but the urge to buy it is so strong lol
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@DefHalan, I feel you. I definitely have the desire to impulse buy it. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I could somehow use my SD card save for Xenoblade — I'd love to go back and explore the world again, finish up the sidequests and heart-to-hearts I never got to. Same goes for Pandora's Tower, for which I have an unfinished game save on the same card. Ah, well. Guess I'm saving $40 on those two.
@VelvetElvis Yeah; could you do a system transfer from Wii to Wii U to transfer your SD card? Downloaded Wii games do work off the save data on the Wii emulator, so if you transferred your save data through the SD card to your Wii U, then you could probably use your save data.

Thanks, @Pahvi and @LegendOfPokemon. Here's my story: I did do a full Wii to Wii U system transfer, but to be honest, my memory is a bit foggy — I did the transfer years ago, and my Xenoblade, etc., save data isn't on my Wii U when I boot into Wii Mode. Then, at random just a few weeks ago, I discovered my Wii SD card, which has tons of Wii saves on it. Are you saying it's actually possible to just stick my SD card into the SD card slot and use my saves from there? And if so, do you know if that'll work for eShop Wii games — I mean, I assume since it boots into Wii Mode?
@VelvetElvis: You could try it with another game if you have a physical Wii game and put that into your Wii U. That would basically be the same, right?

Thanks, folks, I appreciate it. I'll have to track down that SD card (it's currently residing in a Wii that I gave away as a gift; I thought it was blank, and when I was helping the giftee set up the console, I discovered my saves) and give it a whirl. I'll let ya'll know what happens, just to assuage any curiosity.
