Honestly, Stick it to the Man. There are probably a couple of worse games I got but they were all extremely cheap. Stick it to the Man is a very interesting game with a cool art style and some 90s influence while being a decently unique take on point and click adventure games. Unfortunately its also a comedy game that barely had any jokes that worked at all for me.
@kkslider5552000: Funny you say that as I wasn't all that interested in the visuals and the atmosphere it was trying to capture, yet the game got several decent chuckles out of me, so much so that I played through it twice to complete all the possible outcomes, rather than rushing through it like I did the first time.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess!
As for my least favourite, it has to be Knytt Underground and Trine 2; the former seems to go nowhere, both story and gameplay wise and Trine 2 was such a cumbersome game, mechanically, to the point of not finding it very much fun.
I only have a 3DS, DSi and Wii. If WiiWare and DSiWare count, some of my personal worst are Bloons (WiiWare), Snakenoid (DSiWare), System Flaw Recruit (DSiWare), WarioWare Snapped (DSiWare).
If we're going 3DS eShop games only, I can't think of any particularly bad games right now. Pokémon Shuffle left a bad taste in my mouth, but that's because I already have Pokémon Link Battle. Plus, it's free, so I can't get too mad about it. SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad, just repetitive. But that was also very cheap. I never bought any 3DS eShop games I found to be awful, but when I was young and naive I sure bought some bad DSiWare games.
I'm honestly surprised at a few of the games mentioned. Of course the worst game that I had the misfortune of having to play to review for a certain website would have to be The Letter. That game has some good graphics for an indie title, but the rest of the game is worse than E.T.
Race to Line is definitely the worst game I've downloaded in the Eshop. Just a horrible racing game. Barely controllable and awful AI from the Competition. Some of the graphics are kinda neat. They also did an underhanded thing when they ported this from the Japanese Eshop to the U.S. Eshop. They changed the name to the game because the game got horrible reviews. However Nintendlife rated the game a 6. I gotta think somebody got paid out for that review.
Still playing 3DS but will have Switch soon for multiplayer with friends. I miss you guys! Adam, Joni, Gavin and the rest of the Blue Rogues from the Phantasy Star Zero Days.

A game that costs you guys a penny is the worst you've ever played? Hardly worth even commenting about.
Time is arguably more valuable than money, so I think the complaint is justifiable no matter the cost of a game.
Okay, but what would be worse? Paying a penny for a game and realizing you don't like it within a few minutes, or paying a few bucks for a game and realizing you don't like it within a few minutes. You're wasting time playing a game either way, so time actually isn't a factor here.
I guess my subtle point was if a game that was virtually free is the biggest one you can complain about it, consider yourself lucky.
Dot Runner Complete Edition was absolutely horrible!
The video for it was completely misleading, because all it showed was what you saw on the top screen: a cool first-person 3D maze-type deal. Turns out all you can use is the bottom screen, which is a 2D bird's eye view of the maze; the top screen is entirely pointless! If that's not bad enough, the game has a downright brutal difficulty-level.
Horrible, horrible eShop game that I wasted $7.99 on...
Hair Salon is just an awful app, a 5 minute timewaster with cheap visuals and framerate and no gameplay or goal at all. If you want a great barber game on Wii U get Bonsai Barber from the original GoldenEye developer Martin Hollis on WiiWare.
Chimpuzzle Pro just feels unfinished and broken. (There's no save for your progress; you can collect 3 stars in a stage but lose them in the next stage so there's really no motivation to replay stages or complete the game; the monkey in the title screen is obscured by the games logo and he has no eye texture just white blind holes) The controls feel thoughtless and unpolished. There's only around 20 stages which is pretty short for a puzzle game as well. Chimpuzzle Pro had the potential to turn into something nice but the dev doesn't seem to care.
Bad presentation? Check. Unfinished features? Check. Lack of content? Check. Unfitting music looping every stage? Check. Bizarre control config? Check.
All the games mentioned in this thread are better, with maybe the exception of one or two RCMADIAX / Treefall games.
If you think Knytt Underground or Mighty Switch Force are bad, you still have a long way to dig to the bottom of the barrel.
I want to change my answer. Pure Chess. I bought that am haven't finished a single match. Maybe put 10-15 minutes into it. Just wasn't what I was wanting.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@Klimbatize The price point of a game has nothing to say about the quality, so your argument is void. Just because a game is free doesn't mean it can't be ones legitimate worst purchase, considering the possibility of never having even bought a bad game before. If he disliked it, that's his thing. Even free games can be an enormous disappointment, moreso than any game one can pay money for, depending on the game.
I would've called Pokémon Shuffle instead of Pokémon Link: Battle! as well, but I already knew it's exactly the same garbage except for a few more Pokés and a F2P system, so I didn't even bother wasting my time on it.
On Wii U, I would say Flowerworks HD: Follie's Adventure. I've only played twenty minutes of it but I don' really understand what to do. I only got it because i was on sale, and hadn't played the demo beforehand.
@Klimbatize The price point of a game has nothing to say about the quality.
Very true. But that's not what the thread is asking. It's not asking what's the worst game you ever played. It's asking what's the worse you've ever bought on the eShop. Answering with free games is kind of silly, don't you think?
So, no, my argument is not void. Your point has no relevance to this thread. Mine did.
Blok Drop U. Not long enough. Not challenging enough. Didn't really seem like they put much thought into it and I could play something similar on Newgrounds for free.
escapeVector. I just played it for 10 ninutes to realize it wasn't for me. I never really liked Pac Man, so I should've been more careful
I think this one does belong in my list too for the same reasons.
Since I never played it long enough (like the first two or three levels), I just felt that I was not able to judge this game. But since my interest in picking it up is absolutely minimal it probably belongs here.
Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.
