First thing: Get Little Inferno. Anyone reading this. Not sure if it's still on sale, but get Little Inferno. Especially if you like satire about consumerism and the logical extreme of casual gaming.

Get Trine 2. Seriously, the game is great! It may seem a bit pricey for a download, but you'll quickly realize that it's well worth it.

I bought and played trine, nano assault, and hyper switch force and love all three of them.. each brings a unique gaming experience for me... would recommend any of those three.. depending on your gaming mood...

Don't get me wrong I love what little inferno is all about and what is represent... but the whole buring things is definitely not my cup of tea... brillant game though.. imo

I have downloaded 5 e Shop games:

1. Little Inferno (completed)
Amazing game, I'd recommend it despite it being short, but the story and detail more than make up fot it.

2. Puddle (in the final stage)
Suprise hit for me. Definately no Hydroventure, but full of its own cool ideas. Challenging but worth to keep playing.

3. Trine 2 - Director's Cut (beat the normal game, now in the Goblin's Menace part)
Quite a good 3-Player puzzle platformer offline and online with amazing visuals. I have some control issues though with the thief's grapple targetting. She won't always shoot where I aim. And they could move the character select icons in the bottom right corner, instead of the upper left. There they wouldn't get in the way so often, and it would be easier to use for righthanded persons. These litle things would do good in an update.

4. Nano Assault NEO (beat the 16 stages of the single player mode)
Actionpacked and fun, addictive for online leaderboards, but short, and plagued by GamePad diconnect and leaderboard flag glitch. Update needed.

5. Chasing Aurora (beat the 20 stages of the single player mode)
Extremely challenging time trial races that will test your endurance. Good art, and a very fun 5-player game. Missing adventure mode or at least online leaderboards, so it would be as competitive as Puddle and Nano. Update is coming I hear.

I'm debating over Mighty Switch Force! I see the screen is bigger, you get like 15% more view distance than on the 3DS. (I've counted the switch blocks in height and width) One of things I don't like in handheld platformers is the limited sight and that hindered my enjoyment on MSF. I know what to expect because I have/beat the 3DS version. So I will only get the Wii U version when it's on a sale.

Can't wait for The Cave (heard it's coming to NA this month, want it for EU too!!!!),
Zen Pinball 2 & Toki Tori 2 - both were delayed
and Retro City Rampage (ok, that's WiiWare).

Here's the times I've spent with my Wii U games so far:

56h:51m - 33 times - Nintendo Land
22h:30m - 16 times - Little Inferno
13h:47m - 11 times - Trine 2 - Director's Cut
6h:27m - 11 times - Puddle
6h:13m - 12 times - Chasing Aurora (new)
5h:13m - 10 times - Nano Assault NEO (new)

@SKTTR - I loved MSF on 3DS and MSF:HD is even better. The hyper stages are well worth the extra money.

The only Wii U eShop game I don't own is Nano Assault. I was wondering how it was. Is it worth 10 bucks or should I wait and see if it goes on sale at some time?

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Extra money is 9.99€ for an added hard mode and HD visuals. Does it have online leaderboards now?
I see why it's good content for someone who doesn't have Mighty Switch Force on 3DS already, but in this particular case, I better wait for a sale.
Hope that I don't have to wait too long for The Cave, Toki Tori, and other new games.

Nano Assault NEO is pure action and fun. It's simple enough to play, with enemies tough enough to be a challenge, 16 levels varied enough to stay interesting, and deep enough gameplay to be competitive (highscore game with online leaderboards).
It has great graphics and music, making for a really good atmosphere. Technically on a high level with almost no loading times. A shiny package in just 50MB for a spot-on price, that is Shin'en. It has some glitches though, (a first for the otherwise so careful studio but that's bound to happen with a launch title for a such a complex console). I heard an update is going to fix stuff.

No. Easily no. Again, unless what you're looking for specifically is really funny, dark and relevant satire.

While I loved Little Inferno, I'm often more of a "YAY FUN" guy for video gaming so just from a typical gameplay perspective, World of Goo is better. And infinitely more replayable. You should still get it obviously. It's not as good as World of Goo but almost nothing ever will be.

I'm not really a big fan of score chasers, but Nano Assault Neo looks solid. Maybe I'll go give it a spin.

...or just wait for Nano Assault EX... hm...

You'll need a CPP to properly play EX.. That's why I went for Neo. It really is worth it though. If you like getting your ass kicked by exploding green trees..

I can't wait till they really open up the eShop and streamline it. It would really be cool if they added games that the Wii couldn't support ( BioShock 1&2, Borderlands, Doom 3:BFG Edition, Crysis 1&2 etc.) since where not getting their newer versions.

I DO have the CCP. Boo-yah.

Anyways, I'll wait for EX and Armillo.

Was thinking about The Cave but this site gave it a 6... Anyone enjoy the game? Is it worth the $15?

I disagree with the review. I've only completed one play through so far and it's not a long game, but I enjoyed it. I thought it was funny and the puzzles are clever.

The demo seemed pretty good so I thought it was worth a punt. My daughter and I haven't played much, but I like the humour and the puzzles haven't been too difficult or obtuse unlike some adventure games - so far so good!

I completed The Cave (needed 5 playthroughs) and it was extremely fun while it lasted... ok, the last 2 playthroughs were a bit repetitive and more of a speedrun but they were needed to unlock everything. Put around 18 hours in so far, and I'm sad it's over. It's my favourite eShop game at the moment. It has lots of replay value, charm, humour, great puzzles, atmosphere, exciting plots with different endings, hilarious voice actors, a 3p co-op mode, and even really nice graphics at times.

Yeah, it's missing off-TV-play, it has framerate issues, and there are some (minor) glitches. Double Fine could rise the replay value even more if they'd put in the achievements from the other versions.

But all in all I got my 12.99€ worth out of it. Really good entertainment, this game.

Definitely get the Cave, it's fantastic and well worth the £10. The review on NL does point out a few flaws, some of which are valid, but the characters story and humour should win you over.

The two eShop games so far that I'd definitely recommend to anyone are Mighty Switch Force! HD and Little Inferno.
I've bought the rest (besides The Cave, which is the first I'm passing on) and none of them I've found too exciting.
Nano Assault's alright.

Little Inferno is my favorite great humor. I've got Nano Assault, wich is awesome but doesn't have that much content. Chasing Aurora has great multplayer, and I'm getting in the singleplayer as well. Because you can't bash the buttons when you want to speed up, it creates a very interesting tense mood, but it's not the most enticing game I;ve ever played.
