Topic: Wii U eShop Could be the Perfect Home for Sonic

The Wii was a great system, but it lacked the hardware and software capabilities the PS3 and Xbox 360 could perform. Now the Wii U is finally here, and it's even more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3! XBLA and PSN digital services have all these Sonic games: those are now pretty much the systems that play Sonic. There's: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes (EU PSN only), Sonic 06 (is terrible), Sonic Unleashed (an abomination), Sonic CD, Sonic 4 Episode 1, Sonic 4 Episode 2, Sonic Racing, Sonic Racing Transformed, Sonic Generations, and get this: Sonic the Fighters. Wow. Just wow. Anyways, now that Nintendo finally has a console that outperforms its competitors, I think it's time Sega releases all these Sonic games on the Wii U, don't you think? Or at least everything except Sonic the Fighters, Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed, and the Classic Sonic trilogy ports. Why I say the Classic Sonic trilogy is because Christian Whitehead, the man behind the Sonic CD remake, is making an enhanced remake of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 on iOS and Android. I would like to see those enhanced remakes come to Wii U and not the ports. I would also really, really like it if Sonic 3 & Knuckles got the remake treatment from Christian Whitehead too. So I want to see the enhanced remakes of the classic Sonic trilogy make their way to the Wii U, including an enhanced remake of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and all the other games I listed excluding the Classic Sonic trilogy ports, not the remakes, and Sonic the Fighters because that game is terrible, and Sonic Unleashed and Sonic 06. Wouldn't the Wii U eShop be the perfect home for Sonic the Hedgehog? I can only imagine myself playing the Sonic 2 enhanced remake on my Wii U Gamepad... oh what a glorious day that would be. Please feel free to comment below.

@LordJumpMad Um... why not? Do you hate Sonic or something?

I don't disagree. Sega should go full-throttle with Sonic support (and some of their legacy franchises) when the Virtual Console launches, and expect nothing less than to see all the Wii U get all future Sonic games and at least one Wii U exclusive in its lifetime.

So basically what you're saying is you'd like to see the upcoming sonic 1 remake on wii u, and maybe a few other older games that didn't completely suck. I'm on board with that

2d sonics must be played with a real controller. I'd never buy a tablet version of a sonic sidescroller...

I'm down with remakes, especially if it looked like this:
Untitled

But what I REALLY want is a Sonic game on Wii U that looks and plays as fantastic as Sonic Generations did on PS3/XBOX360

I would really like the Sonic CD port to come to the Wii U if only for Off-TV play.
