Topic: Wii Retail downloadable on Wii U?

Who would want all Wii games downloadable on the Wii U much like how Wii U titles can be downloaded? I know I would want this to pick up a few of the games I missed (Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story, Kirby Return to Dreamland, etc.)

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I would if the prices were reasonable. I missed quite a few Wii games, but I would hate to pay 50 bucks for a game that I could probably get for way cheaper. Little Kings Story, Muramasi and Okami are the ones that I missed on the Wii system.

i'd be a much bigger fan of downloading games if every game would be available for download..

take a look at the 3ds eshop for example... the eshop represents like 5% of all the 3ds/ds/virtual games... same with wii u, etc.
imagine every game.. every single game there is could be downloaded... if that would be possible.. i think i'd switch completely over to download-only... but as of right now that's not gonna happen in the near future, unfortunately
and wii games like xenoblade, etc. downloadable via wii u? would be cool, but it won't happen

there probably is only one company that got this whole game-download stuff figured out and that is Valve
oh.. how i wish EVERY game would be downloadable... that would be so great : )

oh btw... i don't really care, but could someone explain to me why some games.. for example Assassin's Creed 3 cost like 70 euro on the eShop even though you can buy them online or in stores for 50 or less?
that's just so dumb

I would absolutely support this. Xenoblade Chronicles would be up there along with stuff like Wii Sports Resort. Happy to get shut of my few remaining discs if possible, even if it means a re-purchase.

Well depending how much they want to sell GameCube Virtual Console games for, I think the prices could be: $15 for GameCube and $20 for Wii. That $20 price tag is basically what "new" Wii games sells for now but you would still have to leave it up to publishers I think, so there could be cheaper or more expensive ones.

If they do this, I'll sell all of my Wii games and re-buy them digitally. Same for Gamecube games.

If it allowed me to play NBA Jam on the pro controller. I'm all for it.

Beyond that pipedream, I fully expect Nintendo to re-release stuff. They do it all the time.

And now they've got a proper e-shop, I wouldn't be surprised if they put everything they've ever made on there...eventually.

I'd be all for it if they brought some games that didn't get localised over here. It's disappointing that we didn't get Project Zero 4, Earth Seeker, Excitebots, zangeki no Reginleiv, Takt of Magic, Arc Rise Fantasia or Trauma Team, so I'd like to see them on the eShop.

Punch Out Wii with Off-TV play? Yes, please.

Yep that would be nice. I've held off getting the Japanese version of Excitebots for this very reason.

Yes, I'm all for it. Just add Captain Rainbow, 428: Fusa Sareta Shibuya de, Tales of Graces, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, Monster Hunter G, Mario Super Sluggers, and Kirby's Dream Collection!
