Topic: Upcoming eShop games, and the Likeliness of Their Cancellations and/or Moving to The Ninty Switch

I tell ya, Nintendo was spot on with that name. After a few heavily anticipated games were recently moved from the Wii U to their latest upcoming console, I thought it'd be a good time to muse about other games that are in development that might make the same decision. I'd reiterate that this only refers to the eShop, but considering the number of retail games left for the ol' gal, well, I guess it goes without saying.

Anywho, I'll start with a short list I had lying around:

1) A.N.N.E - This one...has been in development almost as long as the Wii U has been out. At this rate, it'll be a miracle if this game comes out at all, let alone on an active platform. They're on their way to the Alpha phase soon, so, uh...fingers crossed?

2) World to the West - I'm uh...still debating whether or not I even want to play it or not, but at the very least, it um...still exists? The dev has been quiet for a while, but that's not unusual for a non-Kickstarter indie project. At the very least, there hasn't been anything indicating that it's not still on track for a that Q1 release, and since I don't recall there being any other version in development, I don't see any reason why it would be cancelled, barring unforeseen technical difficulties.

3) Antipole DX - It already had two versions in simultaneous development, and the only thing stopping the development from finishing this year, despite being 95% complete, were other obligations the developer had, according to a Miiverse post he made back in October. Out of all of these I've mentioned so far, I feel the most confident that this one will still release on its current intended platforms.

4) Chromophore: The Two Brothers Director's Cut - I swear, the devs of this game cannot catch a break. What was supposed to be the director's cut to a game that has been out on Steam since 2014, has faced more than its fair shair of issues getting off the ground. According to the dev, the many of problems came down to the engine they were using, to the point where even extracting the assets so they could start over again required additional manpower via interns. (At least that's 80% done now)

While the latest in a long line of trials and tribulations seems to be a death in the family, which they've understandably needed to mourn, they have recently confirmed on their facebook that development has resumed, although it looks like their other game, YIIK, will be releasing first. In fact, it's apparently just about done, so hopefully that's a sign that they're coming to the end of this long, windy, and very thorny road they've been on for the past few years.

With that said, out of all the games I've mentioned, theirs are the ones I'd grab regardless of the platform they release it on - I'll find a way to play them, since they look like really interesting, creative, and fun games, with story beats that I could definitely get behind. I certainly wish them the best.

5) Cryamore - They're still going at it, aiming for a Q1/Q2 2017 release. I got nothing else say except...holy crap, Layeyes is still alive!

Sounds like Kerbal Space Program is going to be canned, not that I mind too much.

Was interested, but between the technical issues on the more powerful XB1/PS4 and the $40 cost for something I'm not entirely sure I'll enjoy (I enjoyed watching the Giant Bomb series featuring this game, but unsure about playing it solo), I had my doubts even if it had appeared.
