Topic: Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force

As a huge Star Wars fan, I actually had a ball playing the original Star Wars Pinball on my 360. I don't have my 360 anymore, and will probably end up re-buying the first Star Wars Pinball on my Wii U. I actually think it's worth repurchasing for the gamepad flippers alone, the way it feels in your hand just seems like it would translate well to pinball. My main question and topic of discussion here is how will the next few tables be handled? I know with the 360 you bought Pinball FX or Zen Pinball, and Star Wars Pinball tables would be seen within those games. From Wii U gameplay videos it seems that SWP has it's own dedicated block on the Wii U menu. Does anybody think that the next set of 3 table, Balance of the Force, will have it's own block or just be DLC for the initial SWP save? It just stinks that it got delayed, otherwise it would already be out. At least from what I am reading it will have better textures than the 360/PS3, so I guess it's worth the wait.

I have no idea, but I love the game too. I'm thinking of getting it on my 3ds so I can play it on the go too.

Loving the visuals on the tables. I actually think its a bit easier on the Wii U as oppose to the 3ds. Both have their advantages though!

On Wii U Star Wars Pinball is a separate game, not part of Zen Pinball 2.
The new Star Wars tables will be DLC for Star Wars Pinball.

I bought it too, and the tables are great. Just like Zen Pinball 2.

The Wii U version is definitely my favorite because of the GamePad (I have it for Wii U, 3DS, PS3 and Android). It was originally part of Zen Pinball 2 on the PS3 but was then released as a standalone game, which is what we got for the Wii U.

I just hope the new tables arrive soon and haven't been scrapped.

Don't worry theyre not scrapped. They're in submission right now and just waiting approval. I just hope it's released for all regions at the same time and not months apart.

Off screen on the GamePad is the only way I want to play pinball games now. It feels great and is far and away the best handheld format for pinball, ever. The fixed-pixel display really helps, too.

Star Wars Pinball is... OK, I guess. Not a fan of all the gimmicks. Doesn't have a great Star Wars vibe to me (wish they'd do Indiana Jones, more Zen Studios style). It was just on sale for $5, though. I like most of the Zen Pinball 2 tables a lot better myself (although many of the Marvel productions turn me off for similar reasons, as a big classic Marvel fan). Pinball is best when the tables are properly balanced amongst contrasting sensibilities. Recent Zen Studios tables seem to have lost this balance in favor of indulgent designs and contrived spectacles.

I agree with you on the account of the Marvel tables being bland. I've played demos of them all and most of the superhero tables seem uninspired. I did however purchase all of the non-Marvel themed tables for Zen. They are all excellent, and Tesla is my favorite. I'm so glad they used Tesla instead of his better known former colleague Edison. Back on topic, I'm still waiting for the Star Wars DLC to release. Dang, why'd it take so long???

I would also love to see Pinball Arcade finally come to Wii-U. I've bought every table available thus far, on Ouya of all places! I don't own a "smart" device and Ouya is currently the only non-PC platform that gets day-one updates and let's you use a real gamepad instead of a crappy touch screen.

I've been enjoying the latest round of Star Wars Pinball- must have if you enjoyed the first three. l think the three collectively are better than the first, but I like the first table on the first set the most (Empire Strikes Back).

I too enjoy the Star Wars Pinball on the Wii U console, my favorite table so far is Boba Fett's.

The decision to pick up Star Wars Pinball was a bit of a whim, the last pinball game I purchased was on Steam and I thought it would be neat to have a pinball game for the Wii U that I can sit back and play on the gamepad, so I took a risk not really knowing much about the game and I'm really glad I did.
