who thinks the third costume silhouette is a mighty switch force costume? also, the "a dish served cold" chapter sounds like it could be centered around revenge. and I like the lemony snicket nod, loved those books back in the day!
I think this is one of those moments when Wayforward is just playing off Shantae's success instead of showing the fans that they're really passionate about this project I looked through their kickstarter and it felt like (at least to me) they were saying hey our previous shantae games were awesome so give us money but they didn't give us much info or reason as to why we should give them money. At least for the Mighty No. 9 you could see the passion that keiji Inafune has for his project but something about this kickstarter felt meh. Also they didn't give any details on this game at all and their stretchgoals are all blank. I've actually played both Shantae games and I love them, I know this one will be good I guess it was just the actual kickstarter that sucked.

Why don't you just pre-order a copy of the game, if you liked the past games? They're clearly gauging to see how big of a budget they should have for the game.
The fact that I can just pre-order my Wii U copy right now makes this an easy decision for me. And I don't even have a Wii U yet.
I admit the timing's bad with Inafune's project stealing all of the spotlight, though.
@citizenerased I know the games going to be amazing I love Shantae, I guess I'm just trying to say that the actual kickstarter as in the page and the info they gave us (which is none basically) sucks. I guess this Kickstarter was made for fans of Shantae but considering they're going multi-plat it would have been nice to give more info on the actual new game for those who are not familiar with Shantae or Nintendo consoles.

is it just me or does the game look better filmed off-screen? (EDIT: probably just because stretching an SD game to a HD full-screen resolution looks bad. It looks fine in windowed mode)
Why is Shantae no longer dark skinned? I'm guessing it has something to do with ?SPOILER? Losing her genie powers? ?END SPOILER? If not, it just really irks me. I really hated Risky's Revenge though so no way I'll care about this, everything looks decent at best going off the video too.
Yeah that's something that's been posted over and over again on the Kickstarter comments. WayForward has replied, stating the style for this pitch was simply left up to the artist. It's not meant to be final by any means, and given all the feedback they've had it's extremely likely it'll change soon.
