Topic: Pokemon rumble U

It comes out 4/24/13 in japan, thoughts.

So my understanding is that it is a full game but with the figures you can level up and get stronger... is that right?

I'm really interested in this game, for the reason that this game can only be done on the Wii U. I also loved Pokemon Rumble 1, and I like the toys. They're fun and cheap to buy!

yeah, i am a fan of the pokemon series but i'm not buying this game just to have to keep buying things for it.

I waaaant it. Buy I'm curious about how the toys will be dealt with. In Japan, gashapon/capsule machines are everywhere, but in North America... they can be few and far between.

I'm pretty sure the Japanese version is going to be a free download, with you being able to buy the Pokemon figures at around 2$ each.

I got the 3DS version for $10 and enjoyed it, so I'm interested.

The figures are absolutely unnecessary for this game. They are toys that give you a neat extra, an extra that can be obtained through normal gameplay. You are under no obligation to buy them.
The download isn't free, it's like $18 or something.

I'm also wondering if the toys will be region locked. I wouldn't be surprised, because Gamepads (and everything else Nintendo makes) are region locked.

I would really like to try it. Looks great to me visually.

After looking through lots of coverage, I'm almost sure I'll have bought the predecessor on 3DS by the year's end, most likely right after I complete (As in, get to the highest rank, finish all the reset-dungeons, etc.) Gates to Infinity. I think of the figurines as DLC that you buy in real, not download- they're aren't a necessity to get the most out of the game- so while I'm still excited and interesting in this version, I probably won't get any of the toys.

I REALLY hope this comes to the west. After watching gameplay footage I want it no doubt about it instant buy.

I'm very confident it'll be brought over to the West, and Europe, too. They have no reason not to.

If the first two came to the west, why wouldn't this one?

I don't know I just don't want to get my hopes up if they didn't. I don't know much about pokemon, but I do know I would buy this in a heartbeat. I like the gameplay looks great as well.

Ooooooogh!!!! I'm so damn excited 4 this game! Finally a game that lets u brutalize other Pokemon as toys. Brutal brutalization of Pokemon after continuous Pokemon abuse this is so obsurdly wicked and cool! I want this game badly!
