Well, I've done everything I can in this game with the 3 compatible amiibo that we have (Yoshi, Bowser, and Toad). It was pretty fun, but not something I am going to go out and buy more amiibo just to unlock a few more levels. Those star levels were fun (I think I was able to unlock the first 4, maybe 5).

I wish I could try the Peach levels, but yeah I'm not buying more just for this. I've got a few more characters to use up.

Considering I only have one amiibo compatible with this game (30th Anniversary Classic Colours 8-Bit Mario) this game does not really offer me much to do. I was able to complete all regular levels, all Mario levels as well as the only two Star World levels I could even get to play in 1:30. That's not really all that long.

I won't be buying more amiibo just for this one game but I wonder. How long has it take for you guys with more amiibo to clear the levels you've had access to?

There's only four levels for each Amiibo, and I assume they're similarly paced in terms of difficulty... So maybe you can multiply the time it took you to play the Mario levels for the number of amiibos supported to get an estimated.

I have four amiibos compatible with this, but at the moment I've only played up to Yoshi's levels... Maybe I'll beat the rest soon.

@Pahvi: The first Star World level does not require any tokens as far as I'm aware. Once you beat that though you will need to have 20 to continue, which is an amount you should get easily if you have just one of the compatible amiibos. The third level needs 40 tokens to unlock which is where those with just one compatible amiibo will most likely have to stop. I have 31 tokens which I got with the 8Bit Mario amiibo (one golden one was even in Star World level 2) and I assume that's pretty much the limit.

I don't think the non-Mario character amiibos can even be used to get the tokens so with those I'd assume you can only get to the first Star World level.

@Meowpheel: It's not that simple though. For one I can't remember how long it took me to beat those four levels since I wasn't keeping time. Secondly, the Star World has levels that you unlock only when you have enough amiibo badges. These badges have a picture of the character of which amiibo you need to use in order to get them.

So it's not merely a case of multiplying game time, especially since I don't think you have to clear each and every normal stage with each and every amiibo character.

Since each coin has the picture of the character, I'd assume there's an equal amount of content per Mario series Amiibo in the game, so that might make around 6(?) levels per amiibo? (not counting the normal levels). My suggestion was that maybe they're balanced similarly, so might take around the same amount of time to beat in general.

I don't get the second part of your message, but as far I know, the only main stage that changes to fit the Amiibo is the first one (the tutorial). So no, you shouldn't need to play every normal level with every character.

@Meowpheel: I was just saying that multiplying only the time it takes to play the four character-specific levels does not equal the full amount of time it takes for you to progress as far as possible.

Consider the fact that the normal levels include two character badges for two different amiibos. So considering you play with one amiibo first, then buy the rest, you will have to beat each normal level three times. If you already own all the amiibo, then you only have to beat each normal level two times. That - of course - applies only if you don't fail (which isn't really a problem with this game since it's pretty easy).

Add to that the Star World in which levels unlock with the number of badges you get. With only one amiibo you can get to Star World 2. I'd like to know how much more game time do you get if you have more than one amiibo and since I can't even access most of the Star World levels, I can't really just multiply the time it took me to get that far - especially since each Star World level also seems to include two character tokens.

I don't know how fast you're able to beat the character-specific levels since the mechanics are not the same in all of them. Mario's levels' mechanic was pretty easy but I assume figuring out some of the others may take more time (especially Bowser's).

Well, that's why I said "assume", "maybe" and "estimate", it's not like I actually know the answer

I don't know if anyone here has actually 100%d the game yet.

I think even if you had all the Amiibo with this, you could easily breeze through and 100% this in a day if you wanted. I haven't had to repeat any levels (except for dying within the level) to get the amiibo cards, and it didn't take me long at all to get through half the Amiibo I can use with this and half way through the game itself, but maybe the Bowser & Rosalina levels are more difficult? I have those 2 and they're the final 2 areas. Seems unlikely, but hey it's a free app-game thing, and I can use it twice between both systems if I wanted lol...

For some reason my Skylanders Donkey Kong doesn't work on my Wii U (comes up with the robot) but works on the 3ds. Why?

Wow. It's probably a bug but that's some pretty huge oversight nonetheless.

You should probably contact Nintendo about it so they know to fix it.
