It's true. We need games to be coming out on a weekly basis if they want to compete with the major players. It's ridiculous how it's the same games in there since launch day. I'm patient but this is too much at this point.
Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS went through almost exactly the same thing for the first two to three months - and look where it is now. Things'll be fine fairly soon, I reckon.
A couple of months is probably too early to expect a constant flow of software, especially for the indie developers :3
QFT. Even XBLA was slow for its first few months, as was PSN. It takes time. Just be a bit patient. The 4 or 5 ones we got are good at least. Just play those until we get more.
once again, using Kotaku for anything is probably not a good idea
It's an opinion article, that's all. I agree with it. We can't expect new games every week at this point, but there should have been more of a plan to not have such a complete dry spell for so long. When we're anxiously awaiting a simple puzzle game like Toki Tori 2, you know there's a problem.

Hey, Toki Tori's a great game. That's only a problem if you don't like Puzzle games, and then that's only your problem, no one elses.
This article is wrong in assuming Nintendo's trying to compete with PSN or Steam - Steam? Seriously? That's a PC market. None of the console players are trying to compete with them - Nintendo reps. have stated many times that they really aren't trying to compete with them directly. It's also, again, forgetting that every service had its dry spells, and it takes time for good games to surface. Why does everyone expect Nintendo to have everything the PS3 and 360 took ages to set in place right out of the box? Why does everyone act as if it'll never get to that level because it's not there right out of the gate? Are people that naive? Are they that forgetful? Ugh...whatever. They'll change their tunes in time, as they did for XBLA and PSN so long ago (3 years ago for PSN).
I wouldn't consider any of the gaming news sites, this one included, as being very journalistic. That doesn't mean that they are not entertaining and at times insightful.
Also, why is someone a pathetic loser for having an opinion on the state of the eShop? I agree with some of the sentiment in the comments, and disagree with others. So what? Does that make me a loser too? Grow up.

Yeah, I don't know what the big deal is. I certainly don't agree with everything Kotaku posts... especially the liberal crap like the main article up there now. I just posted an article that I agree with. I'm not endorsing everything the site has ever published.
Why endorse them at all, though? If you want to talk about the Kotaku article, you can talk about it there. If anyone here honestly cared about what Kotaku had to say, we'd be reading it over there, not over here. I really don't see the point. If you just want to talk about the state of the Wii U eShop, just use your own words, not someone else's.

Sorry, man, I was under the impression that this was a forum for discussing the Wii U eShop. I must have been mistaken!

Please actually read what a person says before quoting it.
Just don't call him a loser. He'll get offended and go all hipster on you.
says the too cool for Mario guy
also did not realize making jokes is offended but ok? I was kinda pleasently surprised at not reacting poorly to that joke in the other thread too y'know. /actually being sincere for once
You could at least make fun of my admittedly over-the-top hatred of Kotaku. Since that would actually be true.
