Why are there only 10 games in North America and 11 games in Europe 6 months after the service started!? The rate of games being released is agonizing compared to the 3DS eshop. What are your thoughts?
I agree I guess.. But I do have to say that there's a high quality standard from what I've played. I've downloaded five games and I love all five of them. So I don't really care. I'm having enough fun with eShop as it is. I would rather have fewer high quality games than swimming in mediocre ones. They'll come I'm sure. Developers just started to see the pro's of developing for eShop, give them some time. There are a lot of new games in development, and it seems to rule Kickstarter, though I don't know if that's a good thing.
Don't you know how many games had been released 6 months after the 3DS eShop launched? It's less than Wii U; even more so if you discount 3D Classics titles (which you should).
Well, it was 4 (at least in Europe - I'm sure it's the same in the US) - Pokedex 3D, Let's Golf! 3D, Pyramids and Freakyforms.
Even if you include the 5 3D Classics that had been released up to that point it's still less than Wii U.
Damn, people have short memories.
I'm more surprised Nintendo hasn't announced any eShop titles. Pokemon Rumble U is the only one, but that has retail DLC, Intelligent Systems can offer so much to the Wii U eShop.
There's three games that I'm waiting on over the next year. project CARS, road redemption, and 90's arcade racer.
So far all 3 look like they'll be awesome additions to the eShop, and well worth the eventual download.
The Wii U isn't an attractive platform for any developer as of now.
So there's your answer.
That is weird as the Wii U is a part of a lot of Kickstarter stretch goals, even when other platforms aren't available. It may not be an attractive platform to multi-million dollar budgets but to the indie crowd the Wii U seems to be a perfect fit.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Nintendo need to do a Miiverse Greenlight service to bring all those independent devs on board.
Hotline Miami with touch screen controls? Green light it.
Binding of Issac with off-screen play? Green light it.
Fez? Gre...okay, maybe not Fez.
Cave Story+. GREEN LIGHT IT!
It is small but quite beautiful. I do wonder how many indie games will appear suddenly... it has been extremely popular with kickstarter.
The sales are great too. I bought Runner 2 and it is a masterpiece and a true sequel (people who haven't played the originals are missing a lot, poor non-Wii/3DS owners).
More will come, just be patient. I will bet that if the Wii U rocks sales during the holiday season, we can expect alot of indies to hit the Wii U eShop in 2014.

There is alot coming, but Nintendo is deciding to almost only release virtual console games that were already released on the Wii virtual console.....we only got three eshop titles "non virtual console" this month and all of them released in the same week....seriously Nintendo needs to realize that people don't want to upgrade their Wii virtual console games anywhere near as much as they want new content. ~Facepalm~
