Since I got a hard drive I've gotten quite a few retail games downloaded, most were in a sale
On my NA Wii U I have:

One, Pikmin 3, and that was because of the Mario Kart promotion.

I don't like buying games digitally unless it's the only way to get them.

Three, all of which were free.

Wind Waker from the Mario Kart 8 promotion, and DK Tropical Freeze and The Wonderful 101 from Club Nintendo Platinum and Shut Down.

In retrospect, that's pretty darn generous. I doubt another company would do that.

Wind Waker HD is the only retail game I have digital and will be the only one I'll have, because it came with a free download code when I got my Wii U and I get most of my retail games physically...
