Hi,

I am from Jordan and recently, I have made someone get me a Wii U from Australia due to lack of sales of the Wii U here in Jordan.

In eShop there doesn't seem to be an eShop choice for Jordan and that is why I have chosen United Kingdom as my eShop location, so I was wondering:

1- Can I buy stuff from UK eShop even though I am not from the UK?
2- Do currencies get changed automatically if I pay with a currency different than the one in eShop?
3- Is there any extra tax included after payment? For example if the item says 10 pounds (Including VAT), is that the last price or am I gonna be charged for more?

Best regards

I think you would have an easier time just buying eshop codes and getting them sent by email.

There is no lockouts or anything by ip address. To use the USA one you need a USA address and card but I dunno about the UK. (There are no such issues with the Japanese one).

As far as I know they will just charge in £ and your bank or credit card deals with it how it wants to.

The UK prices already have the VAT included (20%).

This brings up a question for me too. I live in Maryland and i never get taxed for things on eshop. is that weird?

Do you like videogames? If so, you must know

And where can I buy eshop codes online and get them sent to me on my E-Mail? Would you pass a link please? And is it possible to use PayPal to buy them?

Here in my country its almost impossible to find eshop codes.

So no one has ever tried to use a foreign credit card on eShop??? Problem is that I am a member of the Australian Club Nintendo and it is really hard to find support there, so I really don't know whom I shall ask.

i don't think this is any problem. I've downloaded Gravity Badgers and BLOK DROP U in the UK eShop last week because they're not available in the German one.
I've used a second NNID which i created back when i could not get the ZombiU demo in the German eShop.
Payment with my VISA card doesn't work any different than it works when i order physical games from the UK.

Yeah but in the EU stuff is in place so that it isn't astronomically costly.

Outside the EU all bets are off. (Euro's or Any other EU currency).

If you need to buy something from eShop and your region doesn't match the system's, there are websites who will make a payment on your behalf if you pay them via an alternate payment method, such as Bitcoin or even regular Paypal. It's also useful for people who don't have credit cards.

They will charge you something like a 5-10 percent transaction fee though, and obviously you have to do your research before you decide if they're trustworthy enough to give your money to.

Hi assemblerx86, I live in Australia as well, I suggest that you buy the games you want from the Australian eshop. Because the UK eshop is actually really expensive, after exchange rates you could end up paying 50% more then from the Australian eshop. I only buy games from the UK eshop because a lot of the smaller indie games don't release in Australia due to classification prices!

Yes, I'm perfectly aware of that I was just saying that if he can, get the games from the Australian eshop instead of the UK eshop, it comes out cheaper after exchange rates to get games from Australia compared to the UK as I said above. But if the South African eshop works out cheaper then go for that, I might change my region and see how the prices compare . If anywhere could tell me some prices from the South African eshop so I don't have to go through the trouble of making a fifth NNID. Thanks.

Thanks! I was doing some searching around and found some information on pricing in other countries eshop and found that the Australian eshop is probably the cheapest, which is a massive shock to me honestly! We barely get indies, or even applications. I'm just glad we didn't get the short end of the straw this time, and the only reason we got the new 3ds and XL before everyone else because of stock problems, though a win is a win. Sorry for going a little off topic too.
