Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is on track to be released on the Wii U's eShop next month, developer Black Forest Games has announced.

Yes, this game is awesome. Can't wait to play it on Wii-U.

And for those mildly curious,
The Soundtrack is done entirely by Machinae Supremacy.
Who coincidentally grew in popularity after their remix album for the original "Giana Sister" soundtrack.
And In honesty they're one of my favourite bands out there, potentially even my Number One band (Of all time, Or otherwise)

Yoohoo. These developers are truly fast porting this over to Wii U. It seems Wii U was one of the priority consoles to port this game for.
Didn't expect such a quick surprise release.

Anyway, when in August? I want this game!

1st August comes Cloudberry Kingdom.
15th August comes Duck Tales Remastered.
Dungeons&Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, Super Ubie Land, and Coaster Crazy Deluxe are also set to be released sometime in August on the Wii U eShop.

So I figure it's better to bump an older thread rather than make a new one... I downloaded the patch and everything, and now there's a Christmas tree in the main menu. Was a reason ever given for that addition? As far as I can tell, none of the extra holiday levels were included in the patch, just the off-TV sound and the change to the menu. Odd.

Glad to hear the patch for GamePad sound has been released. I bought but have yet to try it.

To blessed to be stressed.

The game takes a lot of cues from Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong Country

They should update it again, so that the Christmas Title Screen only comes up in December.
It's really odd to have this christmas theme in a game that has nothing to do with christmas.
I liked the original title screen better.

I had no idea there was a patch. It took quite a while.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Yes, GamePad audio is fixed now.
Apart from the odd new xmas title screen, the menu style is different too.

Is anybody here who knows what else has been changed?

So I thought I'd give the game a spin again and noticed the Xmas theme is gone from the title screen, and it now says Ver 1.1 in the bottom right. Except the game didn't prompt any update message. Weird.

So I guess it was included by mistake. It's a shame, it's like Wii U gamers missed out on the complete game. Ah well.

So what is the Wii U version missing? Rise of the Owlverlord on Steam sounds like a small standalone expansion, since it doesn't appear to require Twisted Dreams, so if I wanted to get nitpicky, that shouldn't count.

(I got both on PC after partaking in the Kickstarter, but I've never given the RoO a go.)

(Missing 60fps - which was sorted out some time before when it was originally released and when I tried it again) and Rise of the Owlverlord is loads better than the original (The pacing especially and level design).
