Easter Egg "8 Seconds of Nindies"!
Another news from last week: 3Souls is gonna have a hidden easter egg realted to the Nindies of Wii U. In collaboration with other indies, in certain part of the game, you can find 8 seconds of a song in the Nelesa's soul. Once you hear it you need to guess which one is! Until 16 songs in the game

We have made a contest for the Nintendo Life users to be able to win a code of the game of 3Souls this week!

Patch 1.1.0 is here! and to celebrate the patch, we will have a discount of 25% for a week
This is the things that include the patch!
– Two new languages: Thanks to the help of the fans of the game, we were able to offer french and italian in the game!
– Rush Respawn: new mode in the Game Over screen. Now you can choose to continue from the last moment before you died (without restarting the full level).
– More Vault options: you can check out the ML-Rules, Memories and the “8 Seconds of Nindies” found them in the game.
– Easter egg less intrusive: “8 Seconds of Nindies” is now hidden and need a extra action to be activated.
– Wheel portal balanced: more intuitive and forgiven.
– Lightball portal balanced: accept light and darker colors.
– ML-Rules position changed: those are not in the way of the player anymore.
– Framerate ventilator fixed: this happend sometimes in the the stages with ventilator shafts and now has been fixed.
– Remove any Try&Error: any platform, path or puzzle has always a clue to be resolved.
– Minor adjustment overall: better experience with different adjustment in platforms, blocks and other elements in general, for a better gameplay experience.

@gizmor What is in pixel, yes I use gimp and the logo Inkscape.
Then the background by hand is done by Juozapas Švelnys and it was made with ArtRage.
And for the artwork and the ilustrator (like the one on the poster above of the 25% off) is made by Ali Fahmy [Luckytime] and Im not sure, but I think it was photoshop.
Im really happy with the work from both designers. Looking foward to share more about the second episode for the people to better understand 3Souls

After a long way and hard work, the game is finally finished!
The two missing chapters are now available with a free update of the game! Those episodes are Nophes and the Sleepless City and Nidemon and the Paperthin Farm.
To celebrate the launch of the full game today, we will put in sale 3Souls for limited time, costing only 0.99€/$ the full game with all the 3 chapters.

I'm stuck in the club (in Chapter 2) where you need a key to open a locker. There is a clue showing five symbols, and an arcade machine where I need to input a code.
Chapter 2 is much better than the first one. I'm glad the game changes things up, and gets a completely different feel.
Chapter 1 was about the prisoner, lonely, bleak, with a focus on platforming puzzles and traps.
Chapter 2 is more adventure-like, with NPC's to talk to, items to find, and a focus on logic puzzles. It's also colorful and neon and more upbeat, due to playing a guard instead of a prisoner.
The two-screen gameplay is intriguing, the music is good, the art style is unique, and you feel there was an ambition.
It could still be polished a little bit more. Get rid off the whole life system - it's not fun to redo everything if you didn't reach the next checkpoint (with 4 lives). This is only for Chapter 1 though. Chapter 2 has more frequent checkpoints and saves though.
For those that are into puzzle-platformers and look for something artful and melancholic, it's recommended. It is ok, it's extremely cheap anyway.
If Chapter 2 was like Chapter 1 I wouldn't like to continue it (I beat Chapter 1 but I found it only a decent game). Now that Chapter 2 is very different and much better, I can't wait to see what Chapter 3 is like.
But I'm stuck and the hints don't help me.

First, let me tell you about the key where you are stuck. To get the key you need a combination of 5 numbers (the symbols). Each of the numbers you get in a different way. Before I spoil you anything, which numbers did you get so far?
About your coments. The life system actually doesnt make any sense in chapter 2 and 3 (you cant die in chapter 2, only in the disco). But I left it to keep in symphony with Nelesa... its kind of decoration, because you got infinity lifes on those chapters anyway.
Nelesa needs life, because in that chapter I want to make a challange to the player. But I hear the people, thats why I included in the patch the rush respawn, so the life system doesnt make sense anymore. So only for the players that want something more hard, they should worry about lifes.
Im really happy to hear your comments because the goal of the game was exactilly transmit such a different feeling between chapters. That is what 3Souls is really about. 3 Stories of 1 game and characters linked together.
Each story is defined by the soul of the main character. And thats why everything change in chapter two, we go from sadness to happyness. And the same goes to chapter 3. The idea is to define the character with everything on the game: gameplay, background design, music, story....
The first chapter is a sad soul. This make the full background like chalk drawn. Then the gameplay is harder with lifes system (like life is harder when you are sad), the music melancholy and the voice also defing her sadness. This is why we decide to create those characters wearing a mask, so you cant define her sadness with the face, but with everything else...
... and so we do in the happy Nophes, chapter two
This was a complicated concept, and really tricky, because we end up with really different 3 Chapters, that some people would enjoy the first one, and dislike the second one, or enjoy two and dislike one, or like 3 of them, depending of the type of game you like.

I already had the game, and I have looked for updates for the system and software updates, searched the eShop listing, replayed the first episode, and uninstalled and redownloaded the game, and it is still telling me that Episodes 2 and 3 are still in development and unavailable? How do I get them?

@Xyphon22 Sorry about that. We are aware of the problem. Apparently Nintendo America didnt update the patch on thursday as planned, and we already contact them to sort the problem, but so far there is not more news I can give you about it, or anything we can do right now. Hopefully the patch will be live there really soon.

I have beaten the game. To solve the big locker room puzzle in chapter 2 I just needed a coffee. Then I found out what the eye pointing downwards meant and found the tiny number; I also had to power on the Rumble to be able to get the other number I was missing. Nice puzzle.
Chapter 3 was a bit nervewrecking, with all that time-limited platforming, photo shooting, and puzzle solving, you really need to be super quick.
And it's easy to miss a collectible. The third floor was a pain.
The final boss was too easy though. Chapter 3 was also a bit too short and had the worst-looking world.
The cutscene artwork and animations however are nice. And so is the music and atmosphere. Most puzzles are good and interesting and use the Wii U GamePad in original ways.
For 3,60€ this ambitious decent little Wii U exclusive puzzle-platformer is pretty fair.
And it's on sale now, for 0,80€ I think.

Congrats for beating the game
Chapter 3 was hard to make it longer, because this dynamic against the clock, but it was for us essencial to be like that, because of the situation of the game, which wanna create this stress to the player, but at the same time resting rooms between floors (part of the soul and chaging of this character )
The third floor was actually consider for us like the "boss" itself of the game, thats why is the harders. The next stairs where you get the final story sentence, and the last floor is more a cinematic thought that join the final video, thats why is not that hard anymore, at least that was out idea .
