@Furealz - you got your wish, didn't have to wait too long after posting either !

@elhozzo Your wish shouldn't be far off too, if they're willing to put Pikmin 2 on Wii U VC after Switch launch then NSMBWii seems likely to arrive soon.

fingers crossed ! I could just get it from Amazon.com for 30 dollars ... but I know as soon as I do, it will be on VC at 20 dollars ... plus, I'd like to go digital just in case Switch VC does offer something to those that purchased previously

Nothing for Europe this week, btw.

I picked up Pikmin 2 when it hit the Wii for $20 since I knew it would be rare and climb in price, and I wanted to be able to play it. Still need to find a deal on the Wii port of the original though, one of these days.

Virtual Console Releases Missing in North America: (1 NES; 3 SNES; 2 Wii)
-Devil World (NES)
-Mario's Super Picross (SNES)
-New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
-Pop'n TwinBee (SNES)
-Pop'n TwinBee: Rainbow Bell Adventures (SNES)
-Project Zero 2/Fatal Frame 2: Wii Edition (Wii)

I hope they sneak Fatal Frame 2 in here soon, rather than foolishly skip the chance to bring an already 60 hz and fully English translated Wii release to North America.

Safe bet is to not hold my breath, but there's no roadblock in evidence that would hinder it if they wanted to do it. Nintendo of course has the publishing rights, the game was always in NTSC (There isn't even a 50 hz PAL mode in the Euro release), and Nintendo's UK arm already handled the translation to English.

Short of optionally changing the title screen to follow the naming conventions of the franchise (Project Zero is of course known as Fatal Frame in the US/Canada), there's not a thing that needs modification here. And there's really no reason why that would even have to be done, if they didn't want to modify it.

The VC hype train isn't over yet, tomorrow for NA is Rayman 3 (GBA) and Rayman Advance.

New Virtual Console participant on the Wii U, as well. Ubisoft has shown a small amount of support for the Wii and 3DS Virtual Consoles, but never the Wii U until now.

Honestly why don't they put the tg16 VC on 3ds like they did in Japan? Really with a new iteration of 2ds coming they don't add to its VC collection?!

PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 releases on the 3DS via the Virtual Console are barely there even in Japan, which is the country where the system by far enjoyed most of its success back in the late 80's and early 90's.

They have three games or so that appeared in quick succession several years ago, with absolutely nothing since then. So they presumably did poorly at home on the 3DS, so what's the incentive for NOA to try releasing them for the Western marketplace on this platform, other than appeasing you? The 3DS is over six years old now. I'm afraid that you're going to just have to accept that it's fading and enjoy it for what it is, rather than what it isn't.

Nothing for Europe this week, again. Looking over recent posts, it appears it has been a month since they released anything.

The US has three Wii games that were predestined for EU release, as Excitebots: Trick Racing, Trauma Team, and Mario Super Sluggers were never released in any PAL format before.

I know I would have picked them up for sure. Shame their time's over now. Bring all of it to Switch instead.
