One game I really want to be released on VC is Sonic Battle on the GBA.
At first I thought it would be really unlikely, but after seeing another multiplayer centric game (Kirby and the Amazing Mirror) maybe this game actually does have a chance. Not only that, but Sega has been doing a pretty decent job with giving us classic games.

I hope I'm not the only one out there with some love for this game.

My top twenty DS requests in no order

Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy XI: Revenant Wings
Dragon Quest VI
Dragon Quest IX
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Investigations
Hotel Dusk
Last Window: The Secret of Cape West
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Professor Layton and Pandora's Box
Professor Layton and the Lost Future
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

I think that licensed games may be more likely with Wii and DS games. The problem with them in the past is that the publishing company no longer holds the license to a particular series and would have to pay to regain the license. With modern games, many companies would still own the license to well known series.

3. Mario Kart Wii (Wii)
4. F-Zero X (N64)
5. Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon (DS)

Unlikely:
1. Mario Kart Double Dash (GCN)
2. Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (GCN)
3. F-Zero GX (GCN)

In no particular order other than that in which they come to me:
1. Super Mario Sunshine (GC)
2. Krusty's Super Funhouse (SNES)
3. Desert Strike (Mega Drive)
4. Suikoden Tierkreis (DS)
5. Eternal Darkness (GC)
6. F-Zero GX (GC)
7. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GC)
8. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Wii)
9. Super Smash Bros Melee (GC)
10. Beyond Good & Evil (GC)

So yeah... let's hear it for more Gamecube games. I obviously wouldn't be adverse to re-releases of what's on the wii vc already, particularly FAXANADU but also the Mario kart games inc Super Circuit and Double Dash, Zelda OOT and MM, the sonic collection I have there, etc etc.

I'd really like to see TG-16/PC Engine games get an outing. I played Gradius on my Japanese Wii for PC Engine after playing the NES version on my Wii U and it's so much better on PCE it's not even funny.

Arcade games would also be nice; especially the off-beat stuff that Hamster put on the Japanese VC like Crazy Climber, Moon Cresta and Mr. Do.

In the realm of reality I think we need to accept that it's likely just going to be Nintendo consoles on the Wii U and I just don't know the catalogue well enough to have a wish list really. I'd love to see Metroid Prime Pinball and Pinball of the Dead for GBA, though!

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Sonic CD (Sega CD)

I'd rather see a Sonic HD compilation. They've recreated that one and the first two Sonics in full HD. Paired with a similar effort for Sonic 3 & Knuckles, I'd love to see that come to the Wii U. Especially if it was a $20 or $30 retail release, instead of a digital exclusive.

We will know, that when Nintendo releases Mother 3 in English, that the apocalypse is nigh.

Fans, if they love Earthbound so much, should also be mentioning the original Famicom/NES title since that's much more realistic since it was actually translated by Nintendo of America back in the day, just never released.

Instead, you never see Mother 1 or whatever it's called, ever mentioned in lists like this one.

Too bad that the high quality fan translation of the GBA title couldn't be secured. Where fan translations go, this one pretty much leads the pack and was very professionally done. But I think we all know that Nintendo would never even consider taking that route.
