What will America complain next about not having? If its not one thing, its another.

Oh please, I remember gamers in EU complained plenty back in 2007 when they didn't get a Link to the Past on VC then when it was finally available, they complained about not having Star Fox 64 that NA got on VC. We don't have SMRPG, Kirby Mass Attack, Zelda DS, Animal Crossing Wild World, Wave Race 64 that EU has not to mention Mario Luigi Paper Jam for 3DS. I'm sure a lot of gamers in EU wouldn't want to trade places with NA.

I remember the mountains of complaints against the Wii VC in 2009. Despite the service having several hundred games on it, so many still complained. This is why I stopped taking the VC seriously at all

@IceClimbers: That's true. And it hurt them — with the exception of a few countries, Nintendo's market presence in Europe is piss poor. I applaud NoE for reversing their behavior (though it was likely too late to make a difference), but I'm baffled that NoA didn't learn from that example.

Of course, the parent company is notorious for limiting the autonomy of its branches, but that's another story that's probably a little too far off topic for a VC thread.

Complaining aside, I'm stoked to download Zero Mission today — haven't played that game in over 10 years.

@VelvetElvis: One thing's for sure, us Americans don't have it anywhere near as bad as the Europeans did.

Well that depends upon how far into the future NoA continues with their ways. They seem to be improving this year but is that only because of the NX and X months after launch they continue their ways from 2013-2015.

yep. we had to put up with yall guys for years to come. in fact, some folks tried to use the reverse psychology tactic and say "i dont know whats worse, the people complaining over the lack of vg games or the people complaining about the people complaining over the lack of vc games"
...ya know what?
the people complaining over the lack of vg games was worse.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

If you feel the need to complain about a lack of games, just check the eshop again for VC games you may have overlooked or ignored the first time. Or just play that VC game again that you downloaded two years ago and only ever played ten minutes of.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

@DarthNocturnal: The NA Nintendo site does confirm it, don't assume that just because Japan has something that it'll be available for the west though.

Every complaint I said about the Wii VC and, subsequently, the Wii U VC, is completely justified. It's still terrible. WTF is AC:WW????

@bezerker99: Animal Crossing Wild World I think? Wasn't privy to the original conversation so I'm just guessing. No real reason to play that over New Leaf now though I enjoyed it a lot when it first came out.

Wow. I'm genuinely surprised that we're getting Zack & Wiki. I didn't figure that one would ever make it stateside.

Here an interesting thing about this apparently you won't need the e-reader thing to get some of the levels that where using it + the Japanese ones that only appear in the Japan region. (via Gamexplain)

I thought they would have been paid DLC personally.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

@Bass_X0: I thought they would have used the current Nintendo generation's equivalent of the e-reader (amiibo figures) for the e-reader levels. Something like each Mario character amiibo unlocks 3-5 e-reader levels so:
8 bit Mario - SMB1 stages (1-5)

Then for the new stages:
Mario 1-4
Luigi 5-8
Yoshi 9-12
DK 13-16
Rosalina 17-20
Toad 21-24
Peach 25-27
Bowser Jr. 28-30
Bowser - "PR" stages 1-3

@Neko_Ichigofan

Would you mind if I turned this into a Virtual Console discussion thread? The title doesn't make much sense anymore.
