Topic: Super Mario World Wii Remote Problem?

When I try to play SMW on my Wii U the Wii Remote is disconnected and I can't use it during play. I do not have a pro controller. The manual says Wii Remotes are supported but I've tried two different controllers and nothing works. Does anyone know how? Thanks!

Did you try it with a classic controller plugged into the Wiimote?

The SNES had more than 2 buttons so you'll at least need a Wiimote and classic controller OR just use your gamepad and enjoy it around the house.

My other Switch is a WiiU.

I'm not sure how to do that?

You get either a Wii classic controller or classic controller pro and plug it into the Wiimote at the end of it like you would a nunchuk.

I am pretty sure you can't use Wii Remotes for SMW.Just use the Gamepad,it's perfect and it's nice sometimes to switch to the Gamepad screen.I am actually playing through it again myself, just reached Bowser.Truly one of the finest games ever made,a flawless masterpiece.

You have to hold down the 2 button when starting up the game. Then you can use the Wiimote.

Isn't that just for GBA games? Or does it work for SNES too?

It's for both. I've tried it with "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong-Quest" and it worked flawlessly.

Who are you?
