Topic: Sonic the Hedgehog

Does anyone know about Sega and the Wii U Virtual Console? I have Sonic the Hedgehog for Wii Virtual Console. I want Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles. If these games will be released for the new Wii U Virtual Console, I will wait. Thanks!

Nobody knows for sure yet, but I have a strong feeling all of the Sonic games you listed will be on the Wii U Virtual Console.

I'll bet Sega is working on that. I hope they're planning on adding other systems as well.

Sega mentioned having plans and games in production for the Wii U. I'm guessing 80% of their Wii U support involves Sonic.

I would love to see GameCube games Sonic Adventure DX and 2: Battle hit the VC as well. They were the last two truly fantastic games in the series, and if the series moves on, Sonic Adventure 3 would be the healthiest choice, in my opinion.

Sonic R should be on the Wii U VC just so that kids can listen to amazing music like this.

Sonic Adventure (both of them) we terrible games. IMO, I think SEGA has done much better than those two. Hell, they weren't even good 3D games. The writing was terrible, the controls were choppy and horrible, and both games are riddled with glitches.

Honestly, if you want good Sonic games, then stick to the portable games (Sonic Advance 1-3, Sonic Rush/Adventure, Sonic Battle, etc.) or go play Generations or something.

Oi, in my defense, I didn't grow up with those games! I'm criticizing them strictly from the lenses of a different generation.

I could have forgiven the games for being glitchy if I played them when they were originally released, but since I just played them for the first time ever, I cannot forgive their obvious design flaws.

i'm kinda hoping that they release Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 on the WiiU VC as they couldn't on the Wii due to size but i doubt that would be a problem for the WiiU

as for the other Sonic games i would like them all on the WiiU VC but as you can get most on the Wii VC i'm not too fussed just the ones not on the Wii VC will do for now

also while not a VC game i would like a WiiU version of Sonic Generations that game was great

Sonic CD could release to USA on Wii U Virtual Console. I've seen it on Wikipedia but I hope that's right.

Oh! I'm sorry but it was lies on Wikipedia, there isn't Sonic CD anymore on the list, I verified a second time to the site.

There are no music right issues that I know of- especially since it came to XBLA/PSN. But I do want it to come out for Wii-U for some Off-TV play.

I would pay 24 dollars for the Sonic 1-Knuckles on the 3DS eshop. Oh, and Every Sonic game Genesis-Dreamcast/Gamecube should be on the Wii U eShop.

The lyrics to the Japanese song in the opening animations are not in the PS360 version, but that's about it. Something to do with the singer being dead or something.

Apparently they're giving Sonic 1 the same treatment as Sonic CD, but it's only confirmed for phone and tablets thus far. Wouldnt be surprised if we got a port of that...

Has Sega even mentioned if they were working for the Wii-U VC? They could make so much headway with Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast, and GBA releases.
