Haha, yeah. I imagine that everytime it comes to leaks, especially incoming ones(NX). Although Kimishima is probably the one that has the body bag. I'm surprised the leaker hasn't been ninja'd yet.

This is crazy and I so hope its true. I have been holding off on the fan translation hoping for this game to come to Wii U VC. I am gonna buy first day! Please don't be a big hoax!

I'm pretty sure the rumor is legit. I posted a couple links above, and the rumor seems like it's legit. Also, it's backed by a group(forgot their name) that leaked this before.

Given all the hype about Mother 3, it might be in Nintendo's best interest to release it as an NX Virtual Console title on the day the console launches and completely disregard releasing it on Wii U, enticing consumers to pick up their new system.

Conversely, they may see it best to release the game on Wii U VC to give the system some extra momentum leading up to the NX and to appease the fans who are upset by the short lifespan and light software lineup of the Wii U, with players being able to transfer their downloads (and hopefully save data this time around) to the NX upon its release.

Either one of these could be a good strategy, but what do you guys think?

I'm assuming this a Wii U or 3DS VC release to appease fans and to garner some goodwill. Between this, Paper Mario, and Zelda U, they probably want to go out on a high note.

@Eat_Pie: I doubt it would be a 3DS release, seeing as the 3DS Virtual Console completely lacks GBA games, save for the ones offered through the ambassador program, of course. The Wii U could be plausible, though.

3arthbound, Endbound, Earthbound Beyond Thunderdome, Earthbound: That Gameboy Advance Game that was planned for N64 Finally in the West, Earthbound: Attero Dominatus, the options are endless.

I hope it's true - and they have option of already done translation and only proofread it to make it more "official".

@DarthNocturnal: I just think they wouldn't want to number it and give off the impression that they might continue the series. Earthbound Final, gives the impression the series is over. That is kinda what I thought when they named Mother 1 Earthbound Beginnings

I am not saying they need to stupid proof it, but I think they will.

That's the page that is shown when a Twitter account isn't active. NWPlayer123's account had the same message during some weeks last year.

@Operationgamer17: So I guess that means there are people who are mad at her. I was wondering why nobody seemed to be angry like when Ryu and Roy got leaked. While I don't condone harrassment, I can't say that I feel sorry for her - a huge surprise was ruined by another attention starved dork.

@BigBabyPeach: I'd say the Ryu/Roy leak was much worse. Ignoring the rumours and leaks so far for 2016 Wii U/3DS releases, the rumour about NX coming out in July 2016 would actually seem pretty realistic as there's virtually nothing coming out after Star Fox Zero in April. This way 2 surprises were lost but at the same time provided some faith that Nintendo is not just going to completely abandon the Wii U after June and the Zelda U release for Wii U not being a lie.

@Grumblevolcano: still doesn't mean they have to leak it. No one worth conversing with needs Nintendo to 'provide faith' that they're not abondoning the Wii U, as you point out they've got a quite healthy line-up of games till April at least (don't care about whether you don't like them some of us do) and games beyond that timeline will be announced as and when Nintendo are ready, which I'm sure include(ed) Papee Mario and this Mother 3 port. This idiots are just ruining the fun and making Nintendo job of building genuine excitement for their 'dead' console even harder to do. She deserves every legitimate complaint she gets for what she's done (barring harassment of course) as does that Robertson guy.
